207 was about as low as we wen't...

Here's a sample of my last week:

Meal 1- 15 eggwhites, 1 cup oatmeal

Meal 2- 12 oz. steak, 1 cup white rice

Meal 3- 12 oz. chicken, 8 oz. potatoes

Meal 4- 12 oz. steak, 1 cup white rice

Meal 5- 12 oz. steak, 5 oz. potatoes

Meal 6- protein shake (1c. eggwhites/ protein powder
           small salad w/ balsalmic

Thats a good helping of carbs...it amazes me that people cut out all carbs to a ridiculous point ..... well done Chick!

2 1/4 lbs. of steak a day is a ton. What kind of steak are you eating? Does your body have any problems digesting all that red meat?

I do 1-12 large egg whites with three tablespoons of salsa and it's about all I can stand. What do you put on 15 eggwhites to make them edible?

No, I would alternate throughout the week with chicken...I only throw the salad in late night to help in digestion, etc.

Amazing what bodybuilders do. Where is the research that supports ingesting that much protein? In my opinion that diet is absurd and a waste of resources. The extra protein will be converted into energy because the body cannot use that much protein in a day. I guess I know nothing and am out of date. Nothing has changed with bodybuilders and most are totally unscientific about nutrition and training.

When you were younger Chick did you find that your body was able to acheive better conditioning even though your diet was not as sophisticated as today ? And when did it change to a point where dieting was more crucial?

Good question...it's kind of a wash, because is an unknown as to what conditioning we could ahve achieved IF we had that knowledge back then...we also overtrained BIGTIME. Classic "If I only knew then, what I know now..."

The biggest difference back then was that we could achieve the same conditioning...but couldn't hold on to the size. That's where the better knowledge came in...

with no bulk in your diet, did you supplement with fiber for regularity and to reduce any bloating? white rice or brown? why no real vagetables like broccoli, cauliflower, zuccini or whatnot?

Crystal lite is fine...don't drink much diet cola anyway.

Veggies are fine, I just don't eat them very much on a diet, exceptfor steamed broccoli....too much volume.

I think you looked way way better smaller with a tiny waist then now.  To me you looked to be better conditoned back then too....I wish you wouldn`t have tried anything exotic and kept the look that you had in the 80s.

I have no idea why people change and reduce shit either....The body really won`t adapt to a caloric defecit.

I've never tried "anything exotic", or "pushed the envelope" for tht matter...

BTW, how would YOU know how "easy" it is? It's not just the diet (which gets progressively harder and stricter), combine that with workouts twice a day, cardio twice a day (up to 2 hours+) and all the regular duties of life (kids, work, etc.)

Walk a mile in my shoes, Adonis....until then STFU.

We know you don`t do ass to floor squats or deadlifts.(That Does not Increase size anyway,even though people like to use that as an excuse)

So what was it?

Frank Zane kept a tight waist in his 40s, so did Ed Corney and countless others.

Why did yours increase if it weren`t for supplementation?
