Drop set on Bench-Holy crap!!

Did a super intense workout today on chest..Felt frickin good!

245 x 8
195 x 7
145 x 8
95 x 10

Did 3 complete sets like this. 3rd set was a little down on the reps, but only by 1 or 2. Felt like I needed something different on my chest exercises. This was certainly different. Shit was I gassed at the end of the 3 sets..... ;D

good to see you play around with your ideas on training. it makes training more fun and the gains better and faster. I wouldn't do that for every chest day though.

Hell no will I did again anytime soon!! Back to regular next week for sure. I am going to attempt 315 on my next chest day....

Thats good. Im sure you can handle it but don't go too heavy too fast...especially on bench. lets say you do get it....that don't mean next chest day its time to go 365. im sure you got it all under control ;)

That's WAY too much of a jump.  You'll end up terribly disappointed, if not hurt.

Why do you say that? If I can get 245 for 8 reps, I think I can get 315 for a single! We will see....

Well, I just found a conversion chart and it says that 245 x 8 = 305 x 1....Close, but no cigar...But, my mind will get it done..

I like the attitude....but you know what that chart means? Pittely SHIT. you could do 315 for a fast, easy 8 but then 325 might be a slow hard, shitty 2 reps and thats only 10 pounds heavier.

If your not used to heavier loads and fewer reps, you're risking injury.

i just had turned 20 and was only doing 265-6 and i hit 320 in a bench comp pretty easy plus standards are much harder than in the gym. so when i was doing 285 -6 i could have blasted up 360. acording to those stupid charts i would be no where near.......

Not too disappointed!!!! Wrote it on the calenday today-315 for a single!!!
