I agree with all of the points on this thread concerning ronnie's current physque.
Problem is, all these new flaws don't matter much relative to his competition if he is still good enough to win.
In 1998/9 he faced:
Flex Wheeler
Kevin Levrone
Shawn Ray
Chris Cormier
Nasser El Sombaty
In 2004/5 he faced:
Jay Cutler
Markus Ruhl
Dexter Jackson
Gunter Schlierkamp
Gastavo Badell
Not taking anything away from today's pro's, but there is a huge difference between these lineups.
Thing is, he won over Levrone when he looked like crap.
You make a great point though.
And Coleman at his all time best, 96-99, is what should be considered when remembering him IMO.
His obliques were bulging at the ASC.
And IMO, Ronnie had the potential for competing for the Sandow from 95 and on, but didn't get the conditioning right.
Still, all that heavy training and heavy slin and GH usage have done him in.
Cutler definitely isn't the answer anymore though. He's got as big gut now.
