A good way to avoid cooking every day is to pick a couple days a week and cook in bulk. Since it's summer, I like to grill up 5 or 6 chicken breasts on Sunday and then again on Wednesday and store them in the refrigerator. I also will cook up 6 or 7 cups of rice at the same time and store that also. Just grab a couple of chicken breasts and a couple cups of rice in the morning and place them in plastic containers and you're good to go. Drinking a couple shakes during the day is also a good way to get in all your meals.
I do this too...
Sunday - grill or oven bake Chicken or lean beef
Add cooked asparagus or black beans
Weigh 4 oz of turkey breast into zip locks
Split up bag of baby carrots in to zip locks
Weigh any extra stuff (Chex mix, pretzels, etc) in offseason
Throw it all in the fridge and am ready to go.
Bonus - I cook double the amount of meat I need for my lunches. So that way I meat already cooked for my afterworkout meal that just needs to be warmed up. No need to cook, just warm it up...
