Nope, it is the Black and White full body shots, that he took back in 1998, he clearly had the best definition, and symetry at that time. His quads were damn seperated then.

Those are actually from 97.

I think Ronnie may have actually been better from the back in 98 than 99, but the front was way way better in 99....much better taper, much better quad separation, bigger biceps.

Ronnie at the pre-judging in the 99 tape looked incredible - upper back detail and all.

I think one of two things happened:

1. Ronnie softened a bit for the night show in 99

or

2. the lighting and posing oil (Ronnie was definately too dry during his night show routine) may have highlighted the definition better.

he definitely looked better in the pre-judging. I still think he was sharper from the back in 98, but way better from the front in 99

Proof bigger is not alway's better,coleman could have cruised all the way with his earlier physique and still won,and would have cemented his legacy without much debate with his softer but bigger physique,unlike yate's he suffered no injuries until recently and now show's the wear and tear that cost yate's the best ever title.

I don;t have any pictures, but if you watch the 94 Olympia tape you see Ronnie in the background briefly and his waist looked unreal. With his billowing lats and wide shoulders, it looked like it was barely there. Nuts.

Even at his worst (regardless of when you consider that to be), Ronnie has always had a fantastic taper.

Flex 93 AC was unreal.

I have said it before, and I'll say it again:

Flex 93

Ray 94 or 96

Ronnie 99

are the three best phyisques in history and are all virtually unbeatable, but all have flaws  (flex, ray - lat width and back thickness, Ronnie -abs and calves).

No one is perfect, but these three are unbeatable onstage even WITH their flaws...

You are forgetting Kevin Levrone aswell!
