changing up the split

hey guys
I'm thinking about  gooing from a 2on/1off to a five day split... you guys are going to laugh but the main reason is the NFL season is starting. and if I train 2on/1 off about 80% I would train on sundays.  I've always trained everything once a week. but I train like Johnnie jackson. more of a powerbuil.ding style. were i go heavy as hell

this is wat i was thinking about
mon chest/abs
tu qyads/hams
wed shoulders/calves
thu back and traps
fri arms

what do you guys think??

I like it!! except no off days in between is no good but the way you have it set, corosponding muscles won't be sore for days you need em (tris for push days)  plus the double off days sat,sun will be good. I think it will work out good for you and shock your body's routine. good luck.

thx bro for the reply.. I'm kinda scared about not having enough time for my arm to recover for chest on monday.. do you think 3on/ 1off,2 on/2off.??

haha thats funny. thats EXACTLY what i was doing. chest,legs,shoulders,off,arms,back,off.  I gained 22 lbs in 3 months training like that. now just the other day i started on a 4 day split like you USED to do.

I was just curious, is it better to train two muscles a day and  back of of train sessions. in other words, is it better to back down to a four day split??

I don't know if its "better" if it works for your life schedule and your gaining, then thats what works for you. Im doing the 4 day split but im thinking of going back to 7 days with 2 off days in between. not sure yet. I like the 4 days split but i have to change some things around for a bit.

I found this split fliping tho MD at Albertson's today.. I was looking for a split that trained legs last. b/c i got thicker lower body then upper body...
