Jay can't be that stupid.... he knows he's getting 2nd whether he's better than Ronnie or not. That's the way it works at the O. I think he just wants to establish himself as the undisputed heir apparent so he can step in after Ronnie retires. It prolly won't happen, though... the powers-that-be will probably select someone younger who will be around for a while after Ronnie retires.

Ronnie's shape in 1999 from the olympia onward to the grandprix shows was probably the greatest of his career.

although he was possibly a little more detailed at the AC (hard to say without seeing some more video of the AC), he was bigger (more full) and had less of a gut in 1999 than at the AC.

Jay already said that if he doesn't win this year he's going to shave his head bald. That in itself is fucked up.

The sad truth of the matter is that Jay will be lucky to make top 3 this year. With Dex, Gustavo, Branch, Victor, and Melvin Anthony nipping at his heels, he's got his work cut out for him just staying alive. It was mentioned earlier on this thread that it's game over for Jay once he gets compared to the rest of the top 6. His physique has peaked and it's downhill from here. With a waist that gets wider and wider every year, his time has past. $:-\$
