Interesting m and f ran photo from 3 yrs ago ,so you can't gauge if he was a middle or lightheavy in the pic.s,i think he has a very good build and in his usa win and runnerup nat's placing's he was peeled esp in rear bi shot,has good leg's ,hopefully he bring's his arm's up a bit but their conditioned.overall you can't rag on him other than being envious of his bbing endevor's.
McQuay said he weighed 190 in the picture in 2003. The cut-off for middleweight is 176 1/4. He competed in the middleweight division the following year in 2004. That means he was really sucking down alot of weight to make the middleweight division cut-off. He HAD TO sacrifice alot of fullness to make middleweight.
He was 2" taller than Erik Bui that year. Even though Erik was thicker, McQuay was definetely wider (better V-taper). He will fare much better as a light heavy. His physique is almost perfect aeshtetically. Just a little more size in the LHW class, and I like his chances very much !!
I assume he is working with Milos-because I believe he works at his gym. This should be his year........
Of course-it all depends on who else shows up-and in what condition.
Assuming Stan has added size the last 2 years, I would have to say he's got the inside track
