The French have Champagne, which is totally overpriced
and the Spanish version is cheap Cava.

My current (affordable and half decent) favourite (and the trendy drink at present, in London), is Proscecco, from Italy.

It's a sparkly white.

For some reason, I cannot drink red wine.  Well I can, but I look a mess after two sips.  My lips and tongue go completely mad red and I look like bloody hell.

Nope...happy hour has long gone by. It was sunday after the turkey and yesterday after the turkey  :P  Mmmmmmmmmmmmm...now i'm getting in the mood and I haven't even trained yet. So how about it Deedee? A nice candle lit dinner, a couple dozen long stem red roses scattered all over the table and some in a vase at centre table, and a nice bottle of red...your choice  :P

Well, I usually prefer a very dry white, or veuve clicquot for that matter... but since there are roses, how could I refuse.  :)

And don't forget the candles and dim lighting and soft music filling the room :)
Lovely, giddy up  ;) I actually like white as well. White keeps you going as where red can put you to bed. All good stuff either way.

What's wrong with working for hallmark?

I love the way you look at me,
Your eyes so bright and blue.
I love the way you kiss me,
Your lips so soft and smooth.

I love the way you make me so happy,
And the ways you show you care.
I love the way you say, "I Love You,"
And the way you're always there.

Nope...happy hour has long gone by. It was sunday after the turkey and yesterday after the turkey  :P  Mmmmmmmmmmmmm...now i'm getting in the mood

ohhhh  did I miss Canadian and American Thanksgiving again?  (my calender got burned)

I once went to a party where they cooked some exotic (meat) fest.

(my modify addition:  I've just remembered it was fowl:  a pheasant or a brace or 5).

And I was told which wine to bring.  Took me 3 (only the very best mind you) shops to find the stuff and it was like £12 a bottle.  I nearly didn't make it to the party.  I dislike that snobbishness.  No, hang about, perhaps I love it but cannot afford it.  We drank 20 bottles of extremely expensive gorgeous wine.  And I ate a little bit of a dead bird.

I'll drink cheap Pinot Grigio.

What's the correct wine for Thanksgiving Turkey in your country?

with love

in London, Englandxxx

We do Harvest Festival and also drink cheap "scrumpy" cider...

perhaps Deedee has just admitted that she writes words.

Whatta great job.  I love it.  I guess you get paid lots.

(I loved it once in TO when a mate of mine got a £25,000 a year job and that was 20 years ago, for picking the names of lipsticks...

But writing words for cards for people to choose?  That takes more than style, that takes talent.

I'm impressed.

Back to the wine thread and my unit I'm allowed...

They've banned (years ago) happy hour here in England.  No more 2 for 1
(that's the pubs and wine bars)

But we can still go to a posh shop and get sloshed on freebies and get home with a nice bottle for under £5...

oh look

I'm extemely sorry for doing mulitple posts.  I don't have time to invent other namesakes in order to really bother you.

I really don't think it's going to upset you that much that I think of 3 thoughts in this last hour on this one topic, does it?  I've also done the dishes.

I'm not a computer whiz, nor a paranoid schizo.  I'm a wino
