Actually, both the BID as well as the I.M.F predict this will happen before 2020, in ust another decade. China is already the World's fourth largest economy, and it grows at a rate of 10% a year. Once again, you got owned by yours truly.

Lets just say the Chinese reach the same GNP as the USA by 2020. With1.5 billion people to distribute that wealth among. The USA will probably have 320 million people or less than a quarter of the Chinese population to distribute the wealth amongst. I would say the country with 320 million is still ahead by a country mile.
Per capita still far and away a richer, more prosperous nation by any measure.
