I'm not sure there's a guy anywhere on the planet deserving of the Mr. Olympia crown right now, at least not the way we used to perceive the winners. I love the way it played out last night, don't get me wrong...and gh15, that was an excellent post, as always. You know your shit. I'm just saying that I think Ronnie was kinda over it and Jay really did ALL he could to get in that condition...but I mean look at those pictures of Dorian guys posted this morning. Look at pictures of Coleman the first few years he was winning it. No one's dominating right now and it's clear now that the GH/insulin stuff is really taking it's toll on everyone. Who here thinks that Jay's at the beginning of a 5+ year run here? Nobody, hell this looked alot more like a swansong to me. I don't even think the more aesthetic guys in the show last night were aesthetic by our old standards. Gustavo's now ruined...I didn't see anything special in Dexter last night...Victor Martinez only looked good because he was put next to those other guys...he'll never look as good as he once did at the 2002 NOC, and I think Melvin really looked the most aesthetically pleasing last night but I can't see him getting any better in the future. It's as though after the gh-blown guys actually get dry enough to still look good they only go downhill after that. The kidneys take such a beating. Remember the last time Flex Wheeler looked good at the Arnold (I think it was 2003?), when Chad FORCED him to look good one more time even after he'd done enough GH to have to get braces? It was all downhill after that. We never saw his hams or glutes again because his kidneys had been permanently damaged. I bet Melvin had to get dry as hell to look like that last night. I could be wrong, but ask Melvin how extreme his diuretic stuff was last night and I'll bet he'll tell you he felt like he was really playing with fire this time.
