Ronnie Rockel embodies what bodybuilding is supposed to be about: symetrical proportionate development,
where nothing stands out. In that same tradition I would offer BB'rs like Steve Reeves, Serge Nubret,
Bob Paris, Shawn Ray, and Lee Labrada as a few examples.
Don't get me wrong, I love to see the freaks, to see just how big and ripped a human can get! Markus' physique isn't pretty, but from a purely muscular standpoint, he's pretty damn impressive!
Instead of seperating competitors by weight class, maybe they should have two shows: one for aesthetics,
and one for the freaks! Although, bodybuilding being the subjective sport that it is, there might be some
disagreement as to who belongs where. Cormier for instance, has a foot in both camps (when he's in shape, without that friggin' cell phone plastered to his ear!)
