Bush. Cheney. Rumsfeld.  None of them saw combat.

Bush was famously safe in the National Guard.  Cheney got multiple deferments during Vietnam. I don’t think he ever put on a military uniform nor picked up a gun (unless his opponent was a bird).  Interesting that he became defense secretary.  :-[
