Hey what's up. 4 months ago I injured left shoulder doing deadlifts...currently not on gear but need something to help the healing along....best to use????? Deca? GH? thanks for the help..

GH will strengthen the connective tissue and all the tendons and ligaments, but this is over time, over a very long time of use.
Deca will mask the injury, that's it.

I would avoid any gear & simply ease off the shoulder work for awhile. I'd HIGHLY recommend some PT. A couple weeks of that will do wonders & then start very slowly.
IMO - gear will only mask any symptoms leaving you open to another injury later.

Good call. My wife has shoulder problems & refuses to see a specialist (& continues to bitch about it). So see someone & find out exactly what's wrong. I continue to stand by my statement that PT could work wonders for you - this coming from someone who just finished three weeks for an elbow injury & now I'm about 90% back to normal (after less then a month).

Any time connective tissue is damaged it needs to be rebuilt. Your shoulder isn't much different than your muscles in that regard only that the tissue in your shoulder will take much longer to heal. This being said, take into account all we know about over training. Lay off the shoulder completely and do only exercises that don't cause ANY pain. If it's a rotator cuff, sometimes you can change your grip to neutral or adapt your range of motion for the time being.
Look up shoulder rehabilitation exercises and perform them religiously AFTER shoulder workouts (or at least twice a week if you can't perform any proper shoulder movements). The reason I say after is because you don't want to fatigue stabilizing ligaments.
As far as 'supplements' go, GH is really the only thing that will help but it's outlandishly expensive and not economical to use for the above reason alone. Eat your 1.5 g protein per lb and your 6 + meals a day. Take at least 20 g glutamine as well and maybe some joint support formula.
MOST IMPORTANTLY!!!! DON'T AGGRAVATE IT AND LET IT REST UNTIL HEALED!!!

30+yrs of Sheet Rock/ Painting and Pressuer washing will muck up shoulders...
HGH & Deca and light PT has helped w/ shoulder issues more that once for me.
But Dont beat up the shoulder just because the DEca is masking pain.
Specalise on legs etc for a couple months. ( I did that once when I broke a arm)
Tprop + Deca+ HGH & Physical Therapy.
Get the Dr to send you to a PT specialist, ask for it.

disagree, if he hurt his shoulder 4 months ago and is still not 100%, something is seriously wrong.
the specialist thing...agree, it is a must, but if he needs surgery on the joint, you can squat from now till the cows come home and the injury wont "fix" itself. using growth and deca is like putting a badaid on a gunshot victim.
if he is "hurt", i say lay off for a while...do leg work as suggested by trab
if youre "injured", thats a whole other can of worms
either way, youll never know until it is checked BY A DOCTOR
lay off the juice until you are well informed of what the problem is.

re-read your post trab. i might have misread it. i thought you were telling him to try prop, gh,deca, but now i read it as that is what you did when you got hurt...
please clarify if you dont mind.....dont want to "disagree" if were both preaching the same thing ;)

Naw, Im not recomending he use it, unless hes injury free & fine w/ the Dr. FIRST.
It can really help w/ recovrey IME, but need make sure there no serious injury.
Problem is w/ motivated lifter or someone make thier living w/ they body & use deca to beat themself further in the ground.
Yes it works very good for that also.... Gunshot can feed you & your family or cause great harm, depends
how yuo use it. ;)

Just like why you wouldn't do cardio and watch your diet to loose weight. Lots of people think AAS is the cure for what ales you.....just misinformed people I suppose...

thanks for all the input....I should clarify that currently I am doing shoulder rehab exercises and only doing things that don't aggravate or hurt the shoulder. I injured the same shoulder ten years ago and it took me 7 months to rehab and did this by using machines and light weight building up over time....I was just looking for something to aid me in the rehab. At this stage of the game (age 48) I've been around the gym for a while and have done several mild cycles....Seeing a Doc and getting an MRI or further tests is the way to go but trying to avoid surgery....thanks again
Actually, nandralone (deca) will help. It is the only anabolic that has a sort of cotisone effect.

Im about the very same age, and my shoulders have been abused daily for decades.
Theres a MAJOR difference between a therapeutic dose of Deca and Light PT exercises; and using enough deca to mask pain of HIT training.
Ive had Very good results using Deca for the former. First Having the possibility of injury ruled out by Dr is obvious.
But then again, Trying to PT rehab chunks of cartilage floating around in there that actually require surgery wont fix it, but many of our medical "Professionals" are not above having us try that for several weeks first.

I looked it up on the net to see if it was a standard brand and couldn't fine anything or any trace of the lab that made it or the brand name. I have only been prescribed gear by a Doc as HRT but was curious if any has ever heard of this and if EQ would give me a similar result (joint lube) as deca when stacked with Cyp for a short cycle?

Id stick w/ the Deca from the USDA inspected lab, you could shoot 4cc of their 400mg/ml oil w/ out a injection issue.
Ive not used EQ, but it dont have the reputation of deca for your wants. Its known for hunger, vascularity, and
Erythropoiesis (boosting Red Blood cell count) more than the average steroid.

Agreed, but I did get it from Deca...mind you with all the food I ate it seemed to lube my joints a bit. At least my jaw anyways.

Dbol is good for them. Grill some not so pricey beef cuts, chew hard, and presto.

Me either, but just being on Test lubes my joints due to the added water weight...deca increases this though...obviously.
I used to be paranoid about EQ raising my appetite too much and getting too fat while using it. however, the past times I've used it, I've never noticed any extra added hunger like everyone seems to get...I used it this year while dieting and although I was hungry it wasn't the EQ IMO.

Ok so EQ makes you hungry.....I have done several cycles of Deca ( which probably caused my shoulder NOT to heal by masking the pain along with Cyp...blah blah blah...but what's the big difference with EQ and Deca? So far from what I've heard , read and seen, EQ will make you more vascular and harder than Deca will without shutting down your shit as much....after my shoulder check up depending on what's going on, I was going to do a short cycle of Cyp and EQ...Better than doing EQ alone right....not looking to really bulk up at this point and have just lost 24 plus pounds of bodyfat this summer....
I see more solid gains form using EQ as opposed to Deca to be honest. EQ is a great drug, and I find it very clean...no deca dick either. Your idea of adding Cyp....smart move. I personally like prop though.

the whole deca lubrication thing is not as prevelant and powerful as it seems to be. i think there is a bit of a placebo effect due to the fact that everyone "talks" about deca lubing joints. although their is some fact to the lube thing....i think it works against you in the long run.
imagine getting a cortisone shot once every 14 days to mask an injury.....does it feel good? sure. is it doing you well? hell no. its eventually going to get to a point where something else might need to be done.
kinda like the clowns that lift and use nubain/ vicos/ percs....whatever. pain is the body's way of telling your brain somethings wrong. mask that pain....do more damage....pay later...

Well xrays show a "level 3" bone spur causing an Impingement in my left shoulder....MRI today. Doc put me on Celebrex for 30 days and ordered PT for 4 weeks. He also talked about surgery but is not if I will need it at this point. Gym buddies have had the shoulder surgery and stated that the shoulder is never the same, some say it is better and some say that you should not get the surgery. According to the doc the injury has been there for years..... So Trab, since you are the resident shoulder abuse specialist, any thoughts???? Recuperation time from surgery???? By the way, the pain is not really the issue for me....It's the ability to do the exercises I've been doing over the last 30 years.....

And Im NOt currently beating them.
I'd avoid cutting. Freak fest is a surgeon and also advise do all else possible first.
Dr thats in a hurry to cut is bad news IMO.
There was a thread by SamoanIrishman about this issue a short time ago where Freak put his opinion.
I'd look it up. He's a ortho surgeon. Im a Painter/ sheetrocker Biz owner. ;)

Yep, bone spurs...I've been dealing with these on my left shoulder for a few yrs now. When they first started bothering me, it got to the point where the pain was so bad I couldn't train chest or shoulders, but in time I've learned how to deal with the pain, but more importantly how to lift around it with out agitating it more.
For example, BB military, I use to be anal about dropping the bar all the way down to my chest and pressing back up...this is BS IMO and prob added to my shoulder problems...these days i go just below 90' which puts the bar just below my chin.
Anyway, little things like what I just said about BB press can make a big difference. But just the same, I fell your pain.

In regards to EQ, in my experience you have to take about 600mg per week minimum to see any effect. I believe it works but in my case just need so more than test. And trab is right...the hunger part is real
