Hey Guy's
I just wanted to let you all know I received my US citizenship and I owe a great deal of that to Bodybuilding. Being Mr. Australia several times and placing second a the World Championships twice enabled me to reach a dream I have had ever since I can remember. I will always be indebted to the sport for this and will always do my best to promote the sport as it has been so good to me. I have dual citizenship so I am very proud of that. The crazy thing is my daughter has American, Australian and Japan citizenship. I feel proud of receiving this as the US is truly the land of opportunity. I couldn't read or write at 13 and her I am now. I still can't write to well but I am getting there. Just wanted to let you guys know the good news and that I am proud to be an American. Take care all and I hope everyone had a Great 4th of July!

Congratulations Guy! You're officially a U.S. Citizen, which means you can officially get into trouble without worrying about deportation. Here's my list of the top 5 things you should do with your newfound citizenship:
1. Punch Ernie Taylor in the head next time he comes to Los Angeles. Sure, maybe you'll get a night or two in the slammer, but it will be worth it.
2. Take a crap in La Brea Tar Pits. Everyone else does.
3. Pee in Brian Dennehy's drink at the Mondrian. With any luck, he'll take a swing at you and you can have a Hollywood beatdown story to boot.
4. Bang a hot 16-year old chick you meet at the Beverly Center and post the video here.
5. Carjack Flex Wheeler. Rumor has it he doesn't put up much of a fight. Then sell the Ford Taurus on ebay.
Enjoy brother!

AH Like I said before my man! You are one funny Cat! The Ernie thing is a lot easier now as I was honestly worried about getting into trouble with him in the USas I would have been deported had I been in any more fights. Thankfuly I have grown up now, well most days I am mature LOL.
Let's keep the 16 year old betwen us I don't think the wife would be happy with that one. She may be small but she is Japanese and has that Samruri spirit and a VERY sharp knife to cut things off with which she has mentioned on numerous occasions. Not many thing scare me but having the old fella chopped of does concern me LOL. Take care Buddy!

Thanks for the kind welcome. You are very original Buddy! At least come up with something that is amusing like a posting a picture of your self. Easy to be a hard man behind a computer screen isn't son. Does your Mum know you are on the computer! Now be a good boy and do your home work and leave the adults to do their thing. In Australia we would call you a DICKHEAD!

As far as the year is concerned, it is 1986 to me...when steroids were legal.... ;D Except this time there won't be no raids from the DEA. I'm hooking people up now with the realest shit out there. People respect the fact that I'm willing to go commando to get what they need. I'm shipping stuff in from different countries so people don't have to pay overseas fees and other B.S.
IFBB & NPC Bodybuilding couldn't even function right without folks like me. Otherwise, all you would see on-stage would be some toothpicks. I may need to perfect my own physique but I'm like "New Kids on The Block". I alway have "The Right Stuff"
Vince Goodrum, you just very clearly announced on a message board that you facilitate the movement of illegal drugs.
If you're telling the truth, your clients and partners might realize that dealing with you is dangerous... why?
1) If you're selling to them, and you're crazy enough to brag about being a drug dealer, then you're probably going to have loose lips if eventually caught and questioned. And, your announcement certainly raises the probability you will be questioned.
2) If they're legit, they now run the risk of being associated with an admitted drug smuggler, and disruption of busienss should you get arrested and stop paying your bills. Either way, if I had a client or a distributor who bragged about brekaing the law, I would run. Most people would.
If you're lying, then you are the type of guy who lies about selling drugs to impress others. And in that case, well...
*Note- this isn't a pointless flame, Vince. It's a serious statement. Romano recently said it's easier to smuggle cocaine into the country than steroids. You just bragged about your steroid smuggling- and with the political climate today and 4th amendment twisting, getting a search warant based upon your words is certainly possible.
I *cannot* see what you have to gain by bragging about this. What did you hope to gain?
-
Congrats Guy! My wife is a naturalized American citizen, so we can appreciate what you must have gone through and what it means. Congrats man!
-
hey Guy, are you planning a comeback on the bodybuilding stage anytime soon ?
No Mate! I am done competing. I some times get the urge but there are so many good hungry young guys out their that have the desire you need for this sport. If I did compete I would do the Nabba USA's as I have always wanted to be Mr. USA. I am not saying I would win if I did, just that I would like to say I was an Australian and Maerican champion. How is your training coming along Buddy!

Yeah Mate! I have been living here since March of 98. Thanks for the kind words they are truly appreciated! Do you do BJJ, I have been working with a few new guys and working on various Kimura's from the guard and side mount. One Korean guy is 130 lbs and he is freaky for his size. he has a 9 year old doing Muay Thai kid that he trains and he is amazing. I feel like an old man watching him. One of my training partners has his second pro fight in the cage of the 15th of this month at CXF. Eric Paulson, Josh Barnett and Rampge should be there I believe so it is always fun to catch up with those guys. DO you fight your self Mate!

There are so many opportunities here. I am based in Los Angeles and have been studying acting since my retirement from Bodybuilding and doing movie fighting. In LA especially there are some many things going on and so many people to meet. I have meet so many people at Gold's from Mickey Rourke, Kobe Bryant, Jean Claude Van Damme, Hose Consecu, various heavyweight champions of the world in Boxing and a slew of Mixed martial artists. I am like a kid in a candy store still just enjoying the life I am able to live. I am very proud that my wife and Daughter have the opportunity to be here and that makes me proud knowing the sacrifices I made a long the way have been worth while. That was a great question. Thanks Buddy!
P.S I did a National commerical and was on screen for 1 second and I had at least 50 peole recognioze me from that. I was posing with a phone so my acting training came in there LOL.

Goodluck Guy, you came across like a good bloke on PBBW the other week. Hopefully somewhere down the track you can get some work in Aussie as you know the Superman movie was filmed in NSW and Foxstudios did alot of the Starwars stuff in Foxstudios (Sydney). Its great to see Aussies making it O.S.

Hey Mate!
Thank you! I am looking forward to coming back home and seeing my friends and family. I am going to start going out for auditions within the next couple of months. I am getting new head shots and working filing some monologues. My acting coach coaches classes for Robert De Niro in New York so I always hear some cool stories about him. You see the Rock, Hulk Hogan, Dennis Hopper and whole lot more. I get on well with James Cann. He is a really cool guy and trains like a mad man. Once again your kind words mean a lot. Hey Guy, very happy for you. If you don't mind me asking this, you were kidding about being not being able to read or write correct?
Hey Mate!
Thank you, I was unable to read or write at 13. I was a good athlete during school so no one took to much notice as I was always represnting at one sort or another. I also attended 13 different schools due to being passed around my family like a football. I had to do an entrance exam for a sports scholarship and they were a little surprised that I could not read or write. I was banned from all sports by the education department for 6 months and sent to SPECIAL learning school. The other kids were between 8- 11 and I was honesty the stupidest kid there. However, I kicked everyones ass at lunchtime playing Rugby LOL. It was a good experience as I learnt to read and write and was allowed to go back to school and once again participate in sports. I am eternally grateful as I read at least 1 book a week now. Hope all is well for you. Take care

Thanks Mate! I have learnt so much from reading various books from self help, Biographies, Motivational books, physiology you name it!. I actually had one of my Mates from Australia send me over 50 books I had already read back home which were in storage as I wanted to re read them. It's great as my little girl loves to read which is a real blessing. I read her Winnie the Pooh and the Cat in the hat as they are her favorites at present. All the best to you Buddy!

Hey Mate!
Thank you for that, unfortunately I did read Flex ability LOL. I am not into fiction to much but I do enjoy John Grisham and I really Enjoyed True Crime as well which became a movie. The Negotiating and Fatal Subtraction sound interesting. I will be sure to check them out. Right now I am reading The Dark Side of the Game by Tim Green of the NFL and Just finished reading Wayne Gretzky's Autobiography which was pretty good. He was the worst at the stamina and strength tests each year yet he dominated so well. One of my favorites is Million Dollar Habits by Robert J. Ringer. I also really enjoyed Romo by Bill Romanoski. It was amazing the lengths he went to treat his body and be the best he can be. I think I must be one of Amazon. com's best customers. One month I spent over $400 on books. The wife made me aware of that one LOL. Once again thanks for taking the time to fill me in on those. Take care

Guy, did you have a hard time learning the language?
Hey Mate!
I had no problem understudying people but I cannot say the same about people understanding me. I was brought up on the street more or less so I had a very small vocabulary and spoke more slang than anything else. E. G I would say Eva rather either and things like that. I thought my name was "what" for a 2 years as everyone would say "what" when I was speaking to them LOL. The worst was asking for some ones name on the phone as they could not understand me at all. That was so frustrating. I would honestly say The presidents name is George Bush and what's is your name or my favorite. The Indians called the Chief the chief because that was his name. Then I would say what is your name. My friends would laugh there asses of at me as I would get so frustrated. Craig Titus would always get a kick out of that! It has made me a lot more tolerant of people that have English as a second language now. I study new words to add to my vocabulary each day and that has really helped me increase my vocabulary. I am learning Japanese as my wife is Japanese and that is always a challenge. Hope all is well for you Buddy!

Both are great books, and you'll be remembering them your whole life. I even re-read them every so often to make sure I don't take life too seriously. One of my favourites, if you haven't gotten hold of it already, is Graham's 'The Wind in the Willows' - truly a classic, and you and your daughter can decide which one of the creatures you are. :) A newer, more scarier one , is Gaiman's 'Coraline.' She'll love this one, and I think they are making a movie of it. Best, and take care.

Sounds great Mate! I will have to look into those and see how the little one likes them. I appreciated you taking the time to pass along the info. have a Great Weekend!

Guy,
Congratulations.
A couple of quickies:
1. You said you have been residing here in the US since '98, correct? How did you stay here legally during that period? US Green Card? If so, how did you get your Green Card? Lottery? Marriage?
2. How did you go about becoming a US citizen? How long did it take and how complicated was it?
I'm asking these because I know someone who lives here in the US, is an Aussie, has a Green Card [married to an American girl] and - since I told him about your "dream come true" story - he is intersted in pursuing the same route [ie: dual citizenship]as you.

Go Panthers!
I was actually born in Penrith Hospital and lived at the entrance to the Penrith Quarry with my grand parents for a while. I followed the South Sydney Rabbits and was blessed to be freinds with and train with quite a few of the guys like Mario Fenech, Les Davidson and Ian Roberts. They took me under their wing and always looked out for me. Those were some great times!

I arrived in Marh of 98. I was initially here as I was pending for a green card under the category of "a person of Extraordinary ability" that is what they termed it not me LOL ) I was the Australian Champion and had placed second at the World Championships and various magazines and such within the industry along with various sponsors and endorsements helped support my case
2. How did you go about becoming a US citizen? How long did it take and how complicated was it? I believe it was approx. 5-6 years from the time I received my green card till I was eligible to start the process of obtaining my Citizenship. I had to go through quite a bit of paper work and take a written and oral test which I thankfully passed and then was awarded my Citizenship last month at a big ceremony. I used an attorney to do everything as the paper work was way over my head. It was more time consuming process than anything else.

I would suggest talking with an attorney. If you are Australian you can have dual Citizenship. I believe it is a lot easier through being married to an American Citizen. they will have to fill out paper work and take the same test but it will be quicker from what I know. Please give your mate my best wishes on receiving his Citizenship. Being on a green card is cool but you have to be very careful not to get into any trouble such as fighting or even being caught smoking Weed as they can deport you due to those things very easily. I was always careful to avoid trouble the best I could till I was a citizen. Now I have matured and don't have to worry about getting in trouble for stupid things these days LOL. Hope this helps. All the best!

Yeah Ian liked the boys, the smaller the better it seemed. He was always cool with me. He was a GOOD fighter! He had some really heavy hands so it was funny being so big and such a hard man yet he liked the young Boys. I will never forget sitting with him in the Players section at Redfern Oval when he was out injured and he took me into the change rooms after the game and hung out with the guys. Phil Blake, David Boyle, Craig Coleman and the crew. That is a day I will always remember I was so stoked as I was huge fan of the game back then. I used to sit at home with all my South Sydney gear on with a flag a beanie a scarf socks shorts you name it I had it LOL. I would even have a a tape that played Glory Glory to South Sydney when they would score a try or win. Man I was a funny Kid LOL. Ian's sister was SMOKING back in the day. I was to young to try my luck with her but she was Beautiful. When did Ian get in trouble for the assault Mate? and what happened! He never backed down from people that would punk him at an Old gym in Coogee called Giles Gym. That gym had so many great players training their. Les was always cool with me as was Mario. Les was a funny guy and one tough man. They had some of the older legends like Gary Steven training there and I also lived across the Road from Darrell Bampton and hung out with his son! You brought back some good memoires. I have at least 4 autograph books back home in storage with people like Chive Churchill just before he died, Steve Mortimer and so many more. My favorite game ever was the Grand Final between Canberra and Balmain when Chicka Ferguson scored from a bomb after Laurie Daley passed him the ball and Mal Meninga kicked the winning goal. I cannot wait to re watch that bad boy when I go back home as I have it in storage. All the best and thanks for the memories. It is so weird you mentioned that as my mate is sending me all my Biograpjy such as Ray Price Mr. Perputual Motion, Peter Sterling, Wayne Peare, Greg Alexnader who I am sure you know, Blocker Steve Roach, Mark Geyer and a tone more. Take care
