Whats the deal with stretch marks… they’re obviously gross

Ive always heard about how “putting on a lot of size in a short period of time” leads to stretch marks… but dexter seems to have put on all his weight ultra gradually… (something like 80lbs in 20 years) yet is covered in them… while shawn who turned pro so young at relatively the same size didn’t seem to have any??..

Also, as big Ronnie is/was…and as quick as he’s put on some of the weight… he doesn’t seem to have many, I know in the 04 battle for the Olympia ronnies robbing something on his arms? (cocoa butter?)

My question is how do you prevent them??... is it solely genetic...

i think fat percentage has something to do with getting them.

It has to do with the amount of elastine your skin has. There are lots of creams filled with that nowadays.

Alot depends on genetics, like almost everything else in bodybuilding. I feel sorry for those women who balloon up during pregnancy and end up having horrible stretch marks.
