bodybuilder in pumping iron

who's that bodybuilder that's shown 8:37 into the movie?  He's a black guy, with a really good physique, he must've been a pro.  He's shown flexing in Gold's Gym while arnold is talking to the camera man about what bodybuilding is all about.

im pretty sure thats robby robinson, its funny how hes never mentioned yet looks better than all the 'characters' in the movie, maybe even than arnold

Mike Mentzer is another guy who is never mentioned in the movie and should have been, he is in it for about a second.

Anyone ever notice "big tony" lol man i swear hes so stoned in that movie. hes my favorite not too seen character lol he seems all stoned eating an orange hahahah. arnold says " hey big tony" and he just laughs, its classic. Does anyone know anything about this guy?

The movie was made in 1975. Mike wasn't Pro yet and still needed to add a lot of size.

better tahn arnold even in '75, maybe not.

but he certainly slayed the shit out of waller- the winner on one of the contests in the movie and destroyed katz as well as the other top 3 winners in the movie. he would have given franco a run for his money, probably was better than lou and maybe serge even.

Well Robby didn't break out big until right after the movie came out, he is def one of the best of the 70's but the latter half. Waller was sick that year also, one of my fav in the movie.

Big Toney is my kinda guy, enforcer, "doctor", pot head, ect...... It would have been great to hang around the gym back then.

When I saw it years ago I only caught about the last 15 minutes of the show and have never seen it since. Of course I'd love to catch it from the beginning. Hell, I'd love to have that episode on DVD.  :'(

By the way, you're right. It is The Streets of San Francisco. Episode: Dead Lift  ;)

Big Lou~all the time cause he always looked confused

Well Arnold was always RIPPED hahahahahahahahah. i swear he was stoned in 90% of that movie.
