This man got shafted as a professional bodybuilder

He may have went down as an all time great if things hadn't been so freaking crooked in the IFBB in the late 70's, early 80's. Who knows. Maybe if things were fair he wouldn't have wigged out.

I honestly think Joe Weider made an effort to get rid of Mentzer from his sport because he was afraid of him. I think Joe Weider was afraid of the intelligence Mentzer possessed. Who knows what Mike would have done as a Mr. Olympia? As a representative of the sport? Hmmmmmmm

He should have beaten Frank Zane in '79 for the overall but IMO lost in '80. However he deserved better than 5th.
