Justifying 50 shots? The officer was out of the way after the first time the car jerked forward. Nobody was directly in harms way when the shots began. Shots that sprayed apartment buildings nearby and a nearby subway platform. Fantastic police work.

That type of panic could have gotten several innocent people in that neighborhood killed.
