Jay Cutler and I'm not a fan.
He defeated a 8 time Mr Olympia. The decision was not correct in my opinion, but he won nonetheless and props should be given to him.

Health or Toney Freeman.  Both look great, both have good symmetry and importantly neither has a huge gut!

The story of the year has to be Cutler dethroning Coleman, however Heath makes a strong case for his two victories in his first two IFBB shows.

Most improved - Toss up between Freeman and Anthony. I'd give the nod to Melvin for cracking the top 5 at the Olympia. Toney won his first show but winning the Europa isn't quite as impressive as hanging with the top 5 in the Olympia.

Heath no doubt. Jay deserves honorable mention. I would have given it to Jay if he dethroned a prime Ronnie. It's just not the same beating a 42 yr old with torn muscles.

But Freeman won the most improved award at the Olympia -TRUE STORY  - so you may have to give him the nod!  The Impressive feat was placing at a record tying 7th place joining < lee haney >  for his first appearance. That is good company. Lee Haney even gave him the nod at the show at the impressive feat....  Melvin looked fantastic - mid section was amazing - Great competitor. However we expect this from melvin - alot of people did not expected Freeman to crack the 10 ten -Another sad but TRUE STORY

My vote is : Ronnie Coleman for Losing his crown and still competiting and showing it is about competing and not winning . He did not storm off and pout.
I do not know if any other competitors could of done that and Jay Cutler for beating him and then going on the Road - So I would say they should share it -

Rookie of the Year : Phill Heath - Showing his debut powers against season pros  Charles and James and besting Olympian 's like David Henry. In 2007 his look and condition will be a favorite.
