Bob Sapp is one of the best standup fighters in the world. He beat the shit out of Ernesto Hoost twice, and Hoost has been K-1 world champ many times.

Hoost won his 4th title after losing to Sapp in the quarter finals. Sapp couldn't continue due to the beating he'd got from Hoost.
Sapp then pulled out of a third fight with Hoost.

As for being one of the best stand up fighters in the world, Filipovic (Cro Cop) destroyed him and he'd have as much chance against Fedor Emilianenko as a one legged man in an arse kicking contest.

Thanks for your concern but I am just fine,  try getting squashed between 2 of the biggest units in the world and see how massive you look. Sapp trains in my gym a couple of times a year for about 2-3 months at a time.

If Sapp had decent fighting skills he would be very dangerous for anyone. I would say he is probably the strongest of any MMA fighter out there but he just plain sucks at fighting.

I sort of agree with you. A lot of people, usually small guys with no muscle that worship Bruce Lee like to think Sapp isn't a good fighter, but the fact is he beat Hoost who is a K-1 champ several times over - he beat Hoost twice. He's an elite fighter, and that's the reality.

I don't think he would fare better than he does in Pride in a street fight though. Pretty much everything goes in Pride, save, eye gouges and bites.

Chuck didnt do well in any of his Pride bouts, its always been my theory that he's better suited to the octagon as opposed to a ring. UFC's rules help make him the best in the world, he uses them to his advantage. Now Rampage did beat him down, i dont know why but fact is he did it.

But from current evidence if they were to fight today, it wouldnt even be a close fight. The fight game is so different, on one hand you have Babalu going the distance with Fedor, but twice he is KO'd by Chuck. You have Rampage disposing of Chuck yet arguably he was beaten by Matt Linland. Youve got Amar Suloev going the distance with Chuck then being KO'd by Phil Baroni!!! You just never know whats going to happen. My money however would be on a Chuck KO
