I could see if someone really enjoyed BBing and liked to compete as a hobby and needed gear to compete on a local stage or if someone had to get in top condition for a paid shoot, but why do local gym idiots with 15%+ Bodyfat and average muscle take AAS? WHat are they trying to acomplish? DO they think they will gain 'Alpha Male " status with an additional 20 lbs of watery muscle? DO they think a 350lb benchpress will have every stripper in town trying to hook up with them? I talked to a guy a few years ago at my gym who was setting up this 15 week cycle with 5 diff compounds in it. I asked him what show he was getting ready for and he said he didnt compete, I then asked him if he must be getting ready for a paid photo shoot .. " No" he replied.
Why do guys who dont compete take AAS?

Sounds liek you hit a lot of nerves....

Why do people who arent professional footballers play football? Because they want to and they enjoy it.

Thankyou, next question please.

Btw  ::)

For recreation and the competitive spirit. Once again my autistic friend, backyard Football is not a fellony and does not give you gyno and premature baldness.

Still no reasons... anyone?

Ok here's the reasons so Listen up.

We all are going to die at some point.... can't deny that.

Every freaking thing you do can possibly dictate your health... if your telling someone not to take aas for the health risks, you might as well tell people not to drink alcohol, or smoke cigarettes , or eat at mcdonalds, or eat ice cream.  All that shit damages your body and causes you to die earlier, and the fact remains there is not 1 death strictly associated with the use of AAS, in fact there has been no health risks in healthy adult males using proper dosages except for acne and some loss of hair and breast tenderness.

AAS don't kill, fast food, and cigarettes, and alcohol, all things pushed on the people of society as being great is what is killing people.

If you want to go around saving lives then go to a cigarrette board and yell at those people because a million of smokers will die in the next year and 0 AAS users will.

The only good reasons to juice are:
(1) if you have a wasting-type disease and have a legitimate medical need for them(2) you're a high level competitive athlete who stands to financially gain a lot by taking steroids (enough to offset the risks associated with them)

Getting on a stage and posing for a cheap trophy is not a good reason to juice, case closed.  I know some guys who rationalize juicing by competing, claiming that they need to do it.

Based on the fact you worked all night you either worked as a bouncer or work in a foundry, therefore you have little if any education and knowledge... then factor in your comments and avatar and it confirms that belief .
Please dont speak again! :-X

Hope this helps.

Actually I'm a programmer, and I probably make more in one month then you make all year! I work at night because I choose to.

You are ABSOLUTELY WRONG. Once your normal hormone levels return to normal they will not be able to support the NEW MUSCLE which was gained by exoggonous (sp?) administration of hormones.
C'mon hoss, Im not going to start a debate on all the health risks of gear weather great or small.
Not quite set-in-stone truth. Overstretched fascia do not return to their former size. Also, it is theorized that some degree of permanent increase in androgen receptor sites can occur. Will you lose a substantial amount after stopping? Yes, given years. Will you end up as low as if you'd never used them? The jury is still out on that one.

As for the original question: people should be able to use steroids simply because they want to. Unless you are a communist, you should recognize that as being the single most important reason there is.

i compete so i hide behind the 'i take gear to compete' excuse,, but realy it all boils down to enjoying your self in the gym and getting more out of your training.. theres nothing better than hitting the gym, injury free, full of food and jacked up... i find it much more enjoyable than goin clubbing and gettin pissed/gettin high,,, everyone needs a vice

What do u mean the risks are small? Don't you know steroids will shrink your dick?!!!!!!
That's the funniest comment about bodybuilding in general.  Taking gear will shrink your balls, but that's about it.  And bodybuilding in general increases a sex drive.  The small dick comment was created to knock someone who has a great physique, when the person saying it probably looks like shit.  These guys are priceless.

Ok I will repeat the reasons again,
Cigs and alcohol are not felony to possess.
If you get caught in Pro sports ( doesnt really matter since no one on this board plays on a professional sports team) You will lose endorsements and potentially get banned from the league.
You WILL lose almost every single bit of gain you made while on cycle with-in a year, even with proper PCT.

Still looking for a solid , educated reason to cycle if you dont compete.. Can anyone give me one?

lol, if you're looking to be a pro athelete, unless you're exceptionally genetically gifted you will need roids to be able to compete at the highest level.

DO you think Michael Jordan took gear? What about Steve Nash? What about Tiger Woods? What about Vince Young?
If you dont have the God Given Athletic Ability to play Professional sports then gear wont do much for you hoss.
If you just arent fast enough or cant jump high enough or have the instincts or hand/eye coordination& skill level to play a chosen sport then taking some D-ball or winny wont get u there big hoss.

Ok fair answer, but here is my reply to the " getting more out of your training"

If you need gear to "get more out of your training" and " injury free" and " jacked up" then I would argue that you have yet to maximize your natural training potential and unless you are into your  late 40's and have exhausted many different strength training programs and followed many diff nutritional programs then you have yet to hit yoru natural "Celing".

BTW... I would feel sick as shit if I hit the gym " Full of food" :-X

LOL, how do you know they didn't?  Unless you're watching them 24/7 you don't know!  Regardless of how much god-given ability you have to jump, run, whatever, fact is you'll be better on gear.  Sure some d-bol won't make me an NBA pro at 5'8" and a half inch vertical, but for some guy who's just on the edge of making it to the pros, a little gear could be what he needs.  How do you know they don't juice, especially offseason?  There's no testing then.

How do you know what gear will do for a professional BBall player?
Have you coached a Professional athlete before? Have you yourself ever played professional basketball or any sport for that matter? How do you know if " a little gear could be what he needs"? You have ZERO , NONE, NADA experience coaching training or spending time around professional athletes, therefore you have NO IDEA what they do or dont do or take or dont take.
I have trained  and coached several current NFL & NBA players and at the time I trained them NONE of them took gear and gear would have NOT been " what he needs" to put them over the edge.
Yo dawg! Spike Lee would give Spreewell some Anavar to improve his 3-point shot  ... LOL

Ok media and society make out like the aas are the worst thing ever created yet look at the health problems with smoking or drinking dont even satrt with obesity how many people die a year from that yet nobody is going to make that a crime but aas use or possesion is.I know people say how they not alcoholic etc etc well
with aas is the same there is a fine line between use and abuse.

It helps them achieve their physique goals faster and usually gives them a better self esteem, although I don't think one should base their self worth on how they look.
