he was trul unbeatable against japanese cans.
Also sakuraba was outweighed heavily and when he and cro cop drew first time around it was cro cops first foray into MMA
Look what happened a few years later.
His intensity is still there he is an animal, but he has lost before, Ortiz has beat him, BELFORT beat him!
he may have peaked and be on the the way down but he was never the god he was made out to be.
A great fighter yes but never invincible

This coupled with fighting under different rules, taking two of his best weapons away from him, kneeing a downed opponent, stomping a downed opponent, oh yeah, and vitamin S. I have said it before, in the cage, Chuck would have a great shot at KOing Wandy. Wandy's chin isn't as tough as Liddell's, he has been rocked by Mezger, Page, Hendo. He has made a career fighting Japanese fighters who are smaller, not as strong/athletic, who are unfamiliar with the clinch. (Where Wandy can knee successfully, prior to stomping) Wandy throws looping punches, isn't as adept at footwork as a world class striker, but is ultra aggressive. Not to mention, like Thin Lizzy said, Hendo is extremely underrated. He has never been KOed, and when he has lost by sub, he loses to bigger, longer opponents who are BJJ based. Hendo has always had power to spare to bang.
