You're correct to note Russia's enormous embarrassment of resource wealth. Unfortunately, Russia is a country in demographic decline - it has one of the highest AIDS rates in the world at the moment. It's more likely China will move to 'acquire' some of this wealth in the future, as its own sources dry up.
Hi there. As their sources dry up? Lol they had already dried up. China is 30 + years behind Russia in high tecknology development enough would be said that all/may be not all 100% of the nuclear power stations in China built by russians. I assume you do guess what I mean. IF the russian people in the russian streets will be seeing lots of narrow eyed faces it will be the war. It cannot be possible that somewhere on a russian soil there would exist a town with say 80% of narrow eyed faces. Slavic faces in the streets rule is what will deter the Chinese envasion. Unless the government will give the green light and all narrow eyed will be trown away in 3 days,3 days man. Not much awhile ago government gave a green light to clear several social spheres of georgians, georgian mafia, ( not a Georgia state man ) the majority of the so called thieves in law are georgians, the criminal elite who control casinos, banks etc. All have been cleared up in 3 days. Can when want as we say. Russian let the georgians invest their capitals in Russia and then throw them away. Tactics. Russia let their old people sooner dia in poverty so it boosted demographic decline but instead gotten international debt free. You have to sacrifice soemthing to only then get more powerful.

The USA will lose its world dominance in a world very soon, the emerging superpowers China, India, Russia. We can freeze the whole Europe, the EU as you say.
