I don't know much about the Koran but I heard about it teaches to kill all non believers (please correct me on any of this). So in reality, in order to be a "good" muslim in Allah's eyes you would be killing. The "bad" muslims are the ones that don't kill.

The big thing is that whatever is preached in the Quran, should be followed. Because it is the direct words of God (Allah). It's not like the Bible, which was written by man, and therefore can/should be interpreted.

To say that the Quran should be read in context, that it needs to be interpreted into todays society, that some laws are outdated, et al: then you're claiming the Quran is less than perfect.

And by default claming that the being who wrote the Quran (God/Allah) is less than perfect.

So the "bad" muslims are the one fitting into todays society. The "good" muslims are the ones living by the laws of the Quran.

I plan on moving out to cali myself after graduation, maybe this, coupled with california's large muslim population will keep you out. 

California is a cool place, with nice chicks, medical marijuana laws and a laid back atmosphere.

I think you need to use your rational sense.

Try to step outside the age-old Christian-Muslim conflict for a minute. Judge both religions as objective as you can.

Obviously I will never tolerate any Christian who preaches an eye for an eye, or any other ancient belief that doesn't fit in our modern society. Difference is that Christians for centuries has been allowed a lot of leeway in their faith, the Bible isn't as central as the Quran is.

There are many Christians today who believes that homosexuality is right, and that God is a-okay with it, because Jesus preached that you should show acceptance and love. That's basically their bag.

But at the same time, there are passages in the Bible where homosexuality is condemned.

Leviticus:
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination, they shall surely be put to death

So Christians have the luxury to interpret their religion all over the place. Due to the fact that they don't claim the Bible to be the words of God.

Rationally view Islam from the outside. What parts of the actual Islam would you consider to be acceptable?

That's the question you need to ask yourself IMO.

Lots of white have Islamophobia. They're opposing Islam, but for the wrong reasons: because it is something different, something unknown.

They should oppose it because Islam, when you examine it, are a set of rules and beliefs that has no place in a modern society.

The way I see it, it's 100% the governments fault.

I don't know about Sweden, but here in Manchester, and all over the north west of England muslim "ghettos" have arose (can't be disputed). In certain places like bradford, oldham, parts of Huddersfield and other towns in yorkshire and London classrooms have become majority muslim, in some case probably 100% muslim student populace.

These schools are still moderated by the government and have majority non-muslim teachers. This creates a very tense environment where the non-muslim teacher MUST appease the muslim students, this means laying off topics like the holocaust. Think about it, it's only logical, and lets face it, these kids have a muslim background with a more animalistic approach and primitive social norms.

I myself had some paki mates in high school which were antisemitic. I'd say the populace of muslims was 25% - this percentage has surely rose.

100% the governments fault, it's just that the schools have been put in a situation they never wanted and have no choice about.

UK is not socialist.

A socialist nation, whether we're using the theoretical definition as per Marx or the practical definition, such as Soviet Union and East Germany, are both vastly different from the industrilized capitalist economy of UK.

In a socialist state (such as Soviet Union) there is no free market, no free labor, no free enterprise. These freedoms are central in UK, and the rest of the European Union.

You state "lets not get too technical"... I agree. But to mislabel something entirely different from what it really is, is misleading, and leads to confusion and wrong assumptions.

And as we all know, assumption is the mother of all fcukups...

What do u call a nation that has universal health care, universal education, they even have universal dental, which even Canada doesn't have.  All of these social programs, in my opinion, makes the UK more of a socialist country as oppose to a capitalist one.
