Man, I go with raw squat all day!Smiths are for fannys
go with the free rack. much cheaper and you'll stick get a great workout
250 euro? is that dear??You need more plates than that i think..?
thats 140 kg of weight, its enough for me now.
I would go with the free weight set up as I realize that I am lazy when it comes to maintaining things. Inexpensive smith machines are notorious for problems with binding and bad bearing later on down the road. If you are mechanically inclined and don't mind performing quarterly maintanence on it a smith machine is a very versatile piece of equipment to have. With the quasi power rack set up your looking at you can pretty much do it all as well.
Yeh, thats a fair weight. and not much money to add to the weight when needed.. looks like you'll have a good home gym dude
yes, im gonna enjoy this very much, sometimes im too lazy to go to the gym, and i have the best energy for training late in the evening when the gym is closed, gonna save me much money in the long run, i pay 70 euro a month in the gym.
due to my massive hate of persians, i'm also gonna get a home gym eventually.
Theyre different but youll need a free standing rack for more movements the smith will limit you all though there is this awesome smith machine, that I have NEVER seen anywhere else, that allows you to do a free movement too! It has an extra attachment so when you move the weight it also moves horizontally its fucking amazing. If anything id recommend that if you can find it its safe and you can do whatever you want.. its tougher than the free standing too because it forces you to balance the weight more actually.
It might look stupid but its pretty sweet! I liked it anyway...
what do you guys think of this one, its not too expensive also 195 euro.
I want to buy one of this, im still not sure which one, what do you think is better for building muscle? I dont have a spotter so the smith would be more safe, but free weights are also great. the first one costs 175 euro, the smith 500 euro.
