Wow you just proved Tiger takes steroids.  You are good ::)

Tell me why Tiger would take steroids. Hope you don't say to hit the ball farther.  And I haven't heard of the drug that makes you putt better.  Did you hear of one that keeps the ball out of the traps we haven't heard off.  Or maybe he is taking the drug that automatically cuts 10 strokes off his score.  Please tell me why he would take them and what is he taking.  Thanks, I just want to know your inside information.

Im not saying he is using, its just that you are saying that anyone that thinks he is  stupid...Based on everything we know today about athletes in every single sport out there, why would it be so diff/ to believe that Tiger is using something...He could use androgel to keep his test levels at the top range of normal and still not be considered 'using'...

Let me ask you this...Tiger used steel shafts for over 20 years...Why did he stop using steel shafts as of last year on his driver? Why did he change his swing that worked so well for him over the years?...Why did he change coaches ect?...The fact is, he won with steel shafts, he won with Butch Harman as his swing coach, and he won with a totally diff swing....Yet he changed all these things...And the reason he did this was he felt he could get a better edge doing so....Tiger last year stopped using his Nike driver and used a diff/brand driver(that was unmarked) Why do you think he did that? He was winning with his Nike driver all these years...Even when Phil Mickelson was making fun of Tigers Equipment, he was winning

Tiger Woods is a guy who has won all his life but is now  a guy who is always looking for a edge...If the things i listed above don't spell that out then i don't know what the fck would...Oh yeah and he has added over an inch in his upper body over the last year...

Do i think Tiger is using some kind of hormone? I don't know...But to say that anyone that thinks he is---is stupid......Well that statement alone is Stupid...

When 95% of all olympic athletes are using hormones and/or hormone related products... And they know how to dodge, bob and weave to pass doping tests....Why on earth would it be so hard to believe that a man that is worth over a quarter of a billion dollars and doesn't have to even take a test, would not even considered getting an edge in the form of hormones...

And one more thing...If tennis players have been known to use...Ping pong players have been known to use and tested positive...Why couldn't a golf player? And do you really believe that swing speed means nothing in golf? WOW!

Ping pong players on steroids ?

Ball must have become much heavier since the last time I played it

exactly...Google it and see how many players tested positive in the past...If no one tested positive, then guys like Olyme would be on here saying how stupid it is to say ping pong players use steroids....Or tennis players...John fcking McEnroe has stated on a 60 minutes type show that he used them...And that he was/is not the only one...

When Tiger first came on tour, he used an old Cobra King driver.

He used it for a few years, and then he switched to a Titleist Titanium. After that, he switched to Nike.

You claim 95% of all Olympic athletes are using hormones?

That's a very bold statement, and likely not true.

Why isn't it true? Because the results in many events are down since the 80's and the 90's.

And not only are the results down, but the athletes in eg javelin aren't as beefed up as before.

The same with weightlifting and other sports.

Of course, hormone doping still exists, but I highly doubt that 95% is using.

If you have any source for that claim, I would be interested in seeing it.

oh and anyone that listens to and/or watches ESPN's Mike and Mike in the morning knows that bodybuilding boards aren't the only people that are bringing up the issue of Tiger Woods using steroids..Here on the east coast its been talked about over and over on talk radio...

The fact is almost everyone loves Tiger Woods and because of that, most don't even want to consider that he would use hormones...Its even made guys like Olyme who should know better sling out words like "stupid" ect...

My statements about what kind of clubs Tiger was using was only brought up to olyme for the fact that Tiger is now always looking for an edge(like anyone else)...If strength and ball length didn't matter in the sport, then you would see guys who win not change a thing...Tiger is always changing everything about his game...Does that mean he uses steroids. No. But it shows that he is always looking for an edge...So my belief is its not stupid to say that Tiger Woods would consider using hormones...

I clearly had viewed him with a flared case of gyno a couple of years ago, its no secret professional athletes use performance enhancers.  Just like in the nba, up until 1997, stanozol and nandralone were not on the banned substances list...........which tells you right there alot of players including jordan used, a guy that was a trainer for the bulls claimed jordan only used during times of injury...mainly winstrol, since it wasnt banned by the nba..........so dont you think since jordan and tiger are close, that he has shared some secretes to getting an edge.

Jeez from all these facts you must be right, he is using roids. ::)  Why would he change anything.  He won every event he ever played in before.  He never lost a round and didn't he have 100 hole in ones too.  I mean why would anyone change when he was the best and was so good no one would play against him.  Oh I get it, he figured if he took some steroids he could break the 500 yard drive and hit a par 5 in 1 shot.  You are right I too think he is on roids.  Thanks for showing me the light. ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

You know I have met ALLOT of professional athletes in my day.  I have never met Tiger.  But I have definitely seen how he acts and carries himself.  And if you have too, I think you say the same thing.  This guy is exactly what a role model should be like.  He has integrity and he takes pride in what he does.  And with that, I am 100% sure he is smart enough and cares about the integrity of himself and golf not to do roids.  That is why he is changing clubs, balls , and underwear.  He is trying to find the perfect combination.  There are still some people out there with pride.

none of us know if he does or doesn't.   My money is on him not using.

However... part of his "pride" means continuing to be the best on the planet as he ages.

And, part of "smart" might mean using money, available sports technology, and the doc-patient confidentiality to gain a competitive advantage?

and, part of being a 'role model' means being around for longer, with more means, to pursue his family and altruistic goals... and if using a small safe amount of something to keep his levels good means he can do this, then we cannot rule it out as an option.

Perhaps most can agree that...

1) Tiger's physique could be achieved with plain old weights and food.

2) Tiger has resources and motivation to use, should he ever choose to.

3) None of us really knows, nor probably ever will.

That is why you should no better...Forget about using the word steroids or roids...Are you really saying that anyone who uses hormones has less integrity? C'on onlyme...California is full of HRt clinics...Remember he is playing a sport that does not test...So the word cheating can't really be used here...Maybe the guy has low test levels and needs a boost to get them on the high end...Is that cheating...Maybe he looks at it the same way he looks at his hair line...He was balding badly for many years and over the past couple years has gotten alot of his hair back...I doubt he is going to let us all know just exactly how he got his hair back..Does that mean we shouldn't speculate...Was it hair plugs, drugs, a piece ect...And its really none of our business...Just like if he is in and out of growth hormone clinics...That too is really none of our business...But what in the world is wrong with speculating...

Let me ask you this onlyme...Why is it that when the word steroids is brought up in the sport of golf, Tiger is the first one to say that he is all for testing....I mean really...If we go by what your saying,  Steroids are useless in golf...So their should never be testing in this sport because they can't help you Right?...And if im reading you right, they would probably make you worse...Yet Tiger is all for testing..Said he would be the first one in line...Which means to me that he knows that people are using...That their is an edge using hormones in golf...

So which is it...Why test in a sport if they are completely useless?...In your eyes that would be like testing for a spelling bee right?

Again I really truly think you don't understand some things.  Because Tiger says he'll be first in line means he know people who are using.  I think you are saying you think he means other golfers.  Please tell us which ones are all of a sudden 400 yard.  This will make the whole discussion shorter.  Why would you take steroids in golf.  To look better as you walk down the fairway?  Or maybe to hit the ball farther?  Which I would say is really the only reason to take them.  They won't help you read a putt, hit out of a sand trap, line up a ball better, chip the ball any better.  What does taking steroids do to help you play golf.  And the only reason he would say go ahead and test us in golf is to prove to the world they aren't using them.  Answer the simple question, what advantage does taking them offer?  Unlike other sports, where, strength, power, speed, endurance are major parts of the puzzle for success, none of these help you play golf.  Hitting a ball 400 yards means nothing.  It's getting in the hole.  And I just don't see where roids helps you get it in the hole.  If there is please tell me.

Its about swing speed...Its about strength out of the rough esp. in majors where the rough can break your wrists...And of course its about stamina...These guys aren't driving around in carts all day long...They are walking up and down hills out in 90 degree sun 4 days in a row with 100% concentration needed...You don't think that takes its toll on the body...

Now to be a golfer, that means you are literally the best of the best...Their are millions of golfers out there..And these 200 or so that can call themselves pros are so even when it comes to their ability is silly...Of course you have a handful like tiger who are even a notch up from the rest of them(but so slightly)...If you don't believe that as you age, you lose swing speed then i guess their really is no going on from here...And if you really don't believe that length and strength mean anything in the golf game then why is it that golf balls are going further and further every year?...Everyone in the business is saying the balls are going to far that that they need to put a cap on how far the ball will go... Why do you think its so hard for a man in his forties to win on the regular tour?.But when they go to the senior tour, they reguvinate their career and the wins start coming...Its because of strength and length...

Why do you think they want to cap the golf ball? I'll answer that for ya...Its because it makes courses play to short....Do you want to know what else makes them play shorter besides equipment?.Its swing speed...

Now for most of the millions that play the game. Muscles and weight lifting type strength mean nothing and will not help you one bit....But when you take 200 of the best of the best and all the equipment is the same, and their abilities are so very close....Just what do you think helps on the course...Its strength and of course swing speed...That gets you the length which puts a shorter club in your hands which makes it that much easier to convert to birdies...

Every single golfer out there is trying to add length to their game...Including just about every pro...Pro men and women are now adding fitness training to help with their golf game...If anything that you have been saying is true...Why would anyone that played golf be working out 1 hour to 3 hours a day in the weight room if it really didn't matter?...And why on earth would the #1 player in the game be doing some bodybuilding type workouts if it really didn't help?

Are you saying that Tiger is just trying to look good walking down the fairway?I find that hard to believe...Like any other sport out there where strength is used, you will find people that are going to try to get an edge...Have you seen Phil Mickelson's massage therapist? This guy was massaging phil's wrist during the practice round and let me just say the guy was sport 20 plus inch biceps...No doubt this guy is full of hormones and you can bet that he isn't there just to rub down Phil...These guys are for sure talking "supplements"...

The art of hitting a golfball is almost identicle to hitting a baseball...Now Hank Aaron and the rest of the guys from way back probably didn't use steroids to hit a ball...And they still did very well...With that said.  Why would so many guys in baseball today take steroids to hit a ball? Of course its been proven that its not needed but Jose Canseco made it very clear in his book why he and these guys are doing so...

Its not like steroids are going to make an ave. golfer better just as its not like steroids are going to make an average baseball player better...But when all things are equal and some are using, their is no doubt that hormones could benefit a golfer as they do baseball players..

onlyme...Just answer me these questions here

1. Why is Tiger the #1 player in the world doing 3 hour bodybuilding type workouts if it won't make him better?

2. Why have ping pong players tested positive for hormones in the past?

3. And why have Tennis players used steroids?

i think you have been on the course to many times listening to guys say "muscles don't mean shit out here" and guess what they would be right....But when you take four pro players with equal ability, strength and length in most(not all) cases will win...

To late to read all this but really quick.  You can't be any farther off than when you say hitting a golf ball is like hitting baseball.  Not even close.  The reason why baseball players usually hit a golf ball very well is because of their hip rotation and hand/arm coordination.

And in relation to golf and the tee shot.  the first shot is not your most important shot in golf.  It is the second shot.  You might hit the ball 400 yards on a drive but unless you can chip that next shot onto the green and make it in regulation, then the tee shot is worthless.  And I think you said somewhere in there about breaking your wrist hitting out of the rough.  Has this ever happened in history yet.  And if so hwo many times cause I have never heard of it before.

Every sport is adding weightlifting to their regime.  25 years ago baseball players weren't weightlifting, either did basketball players or tennis players or golfers.  Nowadays most people understand that weightlifting (cross training) can help you in your sport.  That surely doesn't mean they are taking steroids.
