Hard to say if that fear is still legit in the modern world, but who knows.  It is a moot point unless they pass a constitutional ammendment for him to do so.
I think Arnold would be a capable leader , but also find a few others in the political arena that would be better.
I am big fan of Sen Joe Bidden (Delaware)
figures you'd like Bidden mr howie, he dont know when to STFU!   ;)

Well, if he needed unreal genetics, then he "picked" the right parents, wouldn't you say?

You take the bad with the good.  Unreal genes, great looks, great charisma, intelligent, savvy, etc.  He inherited and learned much of this from his family.  His dad was also a Nazi officer.  I won't run for Chancellor of Germany, and he won't run for U.S. president.  Okay?

Sorry, I don't subscribe to the theory that people are responsible for the sins of their parents or grandparents committed before they were even born, and I seriously question the intelligence of those who do.  :-\

That's fine.  I don't trust the guy.  If he likes his women voluptuous, why marry a skinny Kennedy girl?  For political connections, viability & entry into that field.  That's okay too.  But I still don't like/trust him.

For what it's worth, Presidents ought to be a less self-occupied with themselves & their looks.  And be a  little more learned.  That goes for Secretary of State as well.

The President ought to have a legit college diploma, and not be a steroid abuser.  Understanding the difference in requirements for being Mr. Olympia and being President is key.

No freaking way would I vote for him.  He's for gun control, didn't help the vitamin industry in California, is for illegal's getting health insurance and blah blah blah.  He renigged on everything he said he was going to do in California.  Great bodybuilder, yes, the best ever.  Same ol politition.

Thank you. The nut-huggers here either don't know or continue to overlook the equally big negatives that go with great positives. Doesn't mean he wouldn't make as good a president as Bloomberg, but there are two sides.

Being in Bloomberg's cabinet would be a perfect check on the many negatives. After offering to take no money as salary for being governor, he's been busy making up for that and more by charging California taxpayers multi-thousands a night for hotel bills while on international travels that promote himself first then California; imagine the BS as pres!

So having a bs degree (with daddys help) from Yale and abusing cocaine is better?

The college degree and steroid thing are the least of it, that doesn't matter as proven by our first MBA prez Bush.

I think he'd make a good president.  His nonpartisan approach is just what the country needs.  He'll need to hire some better people to represent him tho, and field questions that he seems to get into trouble answering himself:

Q: "Governor Schwarzenegger, the recent controversy surrounding the barbells you picked up after the Lake Tahoe fires has a lot of people suggesting that your agenda is fueled by self promotion.  Do you have any comment?"

Arnold's response: "First of all I want to make one thing perfectly clear.  Those are not barbells, they are dumbells.  I didn't pick up any barbells.  Now the rebuilding we are doing out there is very important.  It's not about dumbells, it's about opportunity.  And it's so important today with the health care and the childhood obesity and these things.  What if my gymnasium in Austria had burned down and no one had another one?  Where would I be today?  I don't know.  That's what I am talking about."

He's a good guy and he wants to help.  I vote Arnold.

Bloomberg would be just as appealing and open-minded, and has a better, proven record actually.

Arnold would make a good president - he's turning it round as Governor and he's proved throughout his life that he's good at everything he does, so fuck it - Arnold for president, why not?
