you cannot alter your genetics, but you can compensate for high lats in 2 ways.

1. a routine like the one you presented is fine, it will thicken your lats giving them the illusion of making them longer.

2. stay lean, a small waist will make your high lats less noticeable by drawing attention to your taper

Low pulley rows all the way! Vary the handles from short close grip one day to shoulder width grip the next.

you cant "lower your lats" but you can build up you lower lats, giving the illusion of lowering your lats.

When you come back again in another life make sure you are born to parents like those of Franco Columbo. Because that's about the only way your going to get wide lower flaring lats. Low, medium or high lats are a genetic thing. Similar to high calves, narrow shoulders, wide hips, flat biceps, etc.

Can always make unbelievable improvements on the lats (or any other body part) but the structure and muscle inserts pretty much dominate the muscular shape. If you have the potential for lower lats, but really have not worked hard enough on them to bring them out to their fullest, than the opportunity is there. Some guy's think their working hard in workouts, but truth be known, they train no where near their full capacity.

As T_C suggest, low pulley rows are good (either one or both arms) paying attention to a full stretch. Try keeping the grip narrow to medium with curl grip BB rows & chins. Dl's are great but should not be a stand alone movement for the lats. (another exercise overlooked for the lats, which also gives them a full stretch, are SLDL's ...might try standing of a 6" box/block or so for an extra stretch) There is a need for a actual pulling exercise in any lat training. BB/DB pullovers affect the lats in a outstanding way. If you gym has a Nautilus pullover machine you are in luck. Top of the line equipment, giving top of the line muscular results. Other pullover type machines hold value, as long as the point of resistense is on the point of the elbows and your not pulling with the arms themselves. Alternate Hammers machines also show merit. Good Luck.

Fashion tip: might wear your trunks (or whatever) higher up on the waist to give a illusion of lower, fuller lats.

Wow, JPM giving fashing advice, this is a first!

Agreed with all the above posts but you're routine looks fine so it's just genetics, don't sweat it.

Go back in time and have Franco bang your mom instead of your dad.  This should work.  Good luck.

true, but no one's getting lower lats via a mirkabash worm.

worms don't have lats. :-\

...but then, birds eat worms and they have good lats, especially hawks and eagles. they have superb lats, rival franco in fact.

Really hitting underhanded movements is supposed to help accentuate what you have already but if you look at Dennis Wolf, D James and Dexter Jackson, it doesn't seem like people can attain as much as they might hope.  The above mentioned are good BBers but genetic limitations keep even the best from the "Franco" look.

Personally, I like lighter underhand rows on the BB or a bit heavier on the Smith machine (ala Phil Heath).  Going too heavy too fast just got my arms sore.  If you have a good mind-muscle connection (which some do/do not) with the back, you can feel the lower lat insertions work during the contraction.

Genetics are everything...unfortunate ly...in bodybuilding but also in other areas such a physics; no one will be Einstein because he works extra hard at physics....
