All the hardcore regs like me know
that supplements do not work! If anyone ever mentions a supplement they take (like bottled water at the gym, lolz!) I never hesitate to crush their tinytit asses to dust. Here are some tips I have to set the record straight on supplements:
1. Avoid caffeine before a workout. Caffeine has been linked to the "Noxplode Effect" whereby increased energy levels may increase workout satisfaction. You can still drink coffee, just wait 4 hours before hitting the gym.
2. Avoid protein at all costs. If you "supplement" your diet with extra protein you are buying into the oldest lie in nutrition. Mike Mentzer was right, all the protein you need to grow can be found in apples and lawn clippings. If you do have to eat protein, make sure it is the more expensive animal flesh variety. Avoid inexpensive and highly digestible protein powders like the plague!
3. Water: this one is a touchy one for most people but I think the answer is pretty "clear." Mankind has evolved to receive most of the liquids it needs through food and moisture in the air. If you do consume liquids, make sure they are alcohol based, and
never show weakness in the gym by consuming any beverages!
4. Multivitamins: LOLZ!! I'm not even going to dignify this with an entry. If you are even considering taking these you are probably ninety pounds and are more than likely Canadian.
5. Misc. Ther's a bunch of bogus junk floating around there with psudeoscientific make believe names like "creatine"

and "Beta-Alanine"

and the like. Folks, these are all bogus and any study that supports their efficacy was conducted by paid Muscleteach stooges.
HOPE THIS HELPS
