SUPPLEMENT AVOIDANCE FOR GETBIG MASS MONSTERS!!!!
« on: October 24, 2007, 03:21:44 PM »
All the hardcore regs like me know that supplements do not work! If anyone ever mentions a supplement they take (like bottled water at the gym, lolz!) I never hesitate to crush their tinytit asses to dust. Here are some tips I have to set the record straight on supplements:

1. Avoid caffeine before a workout. Caffeine has been linked to the "Noxplode Effect" whereby increased energy levels may increase workout satisfaction. You can still drink coffee, just wait 4 hours before hitting the gym.

2. Avoid protein at all costs. If you "supplement" your diet with extra protein you are buying into the oldest lie in nutrition. Mike Mentzer was right, all the protein you need to grow can be found in apples and lawn clippings. If you do have to eat protein, make sure it is the more expensive animal flesh variety. Avoid inexpensive and highly digestible protein powders like the plague!

3. Water: this one is a touchy one for most people but I think the answer is pretty "clear." Mankind has evolved to receive most of the liquids it needs through food and moisture in the air. If you do consume liquids, make sure they are alcohol based, and never show weakness in the gym by consuming any beverages!

4. Multivitamins: LOLZ!! I'm not even going to dignify this with an entry. If you are even considering taking these you are probably ninety pounds and are more than likely Canadian.

5. Misc. Ther's a bunch of bogus junk floating around there with psudeoscientific make believe names like "creatine"  ::) and "Beta-Alanine"  ::) and the like. Folks, these are all bogus and any study that supports their efficacy was conducted by paid Muscleteach stooges.

I supplement with 12 oz of bacon grease pre-workout, and two scoops of cancer afterwards.  Any advice?

Increase the cancer and combine with a serving of hangover.

Excellent.  I was contemplating adding straight fecal matter in my workout shakes - I keep reading about guys on this board who bench 900 lbs, and then read about how they're apparently "full of shit."  I figure if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

Yes, but those 900lb benchers are also multi millionaires, so they have access to products us regular joes can't afford.

I eat innocent meat
The housewife I will beat
The prolife I will kill
What you won't do I will
I bash myself to sleep
What you sow I will reap
I scar myself you see
I wish I wasn't me
I hate therefore I am
Goddamn your righteous hand

truth.

6. Sleeping: Highly over-rated. If you can get 1 to 2 hours every couple days you are resting more than enough. I recommend vary sources of amphetamines to stay away for longer periods of time. If you're sleeping, you're not training.

7.  Forget supplements like "3rd Degree Burn" and "Hot Roxx", the best way to burn fat off is with a flamethrower.

8. Air. Hahahah, yeah right. You need to train through the pain. Pumping oxygen into you muscle cells is another sign of weakness, and may actually do more harm then good.

Yeah.... they're called "anabolic steroids".   They work, too. ::)

Oh, but I forgot...  the muscletech/BSN/GNC/etc. crowd pays just as much for the crap they take... just with no results.

taking this thread literally and seriously...

2. even if protein isn't essential, it is slow burning energy so is an excellent, cheap, easy supplement for a calorie controlled diet. much easier to have a tub of whey with a 2yr + shelf life than preparing meat snacks all the time.
3. I drink plenty of water before weight training, just as I do for running & playing sport. dehydration is a real health risk for high intensity training. I refute your water point completely.
5. haven't used creatine much, but when I did I held more water and found that it aided lifting. maybe placebo effect, maybe not.

6. Full meals are for pussies! If you're eating full meals, you're wasting times. A few peanuts and raisins a day should be suffice. *Note: Be careful NOT to consume too much peanuts. The protein content is way too high. And regulate the amount of raisins. They contain way too many carbs. Carbs do NOTHING but make you fat and slow.

Hope this helps.
