Oh brother and I'm sure you were benching 600 for reps when you were 18.

Actually when I worked out with the hockey team I was repping 405 for 20.  More than most of the d lineman on the football team. And that was sophmore year.

But you claim that the average for a high school jr or sr is 4.6.

And that includes all positions.

An AVERAGE of all positions, ALL PLAYERS of all positions.

Which means that you actually claim that the average 40 yard time for the high school running backs and receivers are faster, because the linemen are definitely slowe than the average.

That's just ridiculous.

In this case, you're full of shit.

I'm not saying you could be right on other matters.

But here - no.

You just don't know what you're talking about.

I said I had to clarify that this didn't include all positions. Click on the link.

HAHAHAHA!!

Coach pulling out the ole right wing "I wish to retract my statement" move...... Including such phrases as... "I had to clarify" and "this didn't include all positions"

So pathetic.

Good post. I knew he would do this, if he didn't mean all positions then he sould have said that from the start.  Coach didn't even say the average high school football player runs a 4.6, he said the average high school junior or senior runs a 4.6.  He should be more careful with his posts to avoid looking stupid.

You could call me anything you'd like if I were to say an LB ran that. Get freaking real dude. To even think I would have to clarify that around such "experts" is laughable in it self.

in this months Flex Dexter claims that he ran the 40 in 4.19 and could dunk a basketball when he was younger and Heath claims he ran the 40 in 4.31, what do you guys think?

IT'S ALL BULLSHIT.......BOTH OF THEM NEED TO GET THEIR ASSES ON THE TRACK AND PROVE IT. Levronne proved his a few years back.

Coach, you run a business, you are obviously slick enough to nip money away from delusional parents, like a 1920's pick-pocket at the State Fair

They come into your office, asking for your "expert opinions" with dreams of "their little Johnny" making varsity quarterback one day...

And you pull out your fancy brochures and show them videotapes of your other clients doing endless little twists and hops.

Hell, you probably crowbar Rampage Jacksons name in their 2 or 3 times to really sell them on the idea of joining up with your business.

That's all fine and well, hey it pays the mortgage right?

But don't come on here and insult our intelligence with these asinine statements.

All I am saying is if you are training all these elite athletes please steer clear of bringing up the subject of 40 yard dash time with them because you instantly stand to lose ALOT of money in lost clients if they hear you talking about your ignorance on the subject.

I KNEW IT.. >:(

Just because im black im supposed to have these awesome genetics for bodybuilding and sprinting...i swear you guys make me sick... ;D

Actually i trained for about 6 weeks to get it there. my fastest hand time was 4.48. But that was hand time. accutrack was 4.50

Im not saying 4.5 is blazing and i was 180 when i ran that (which is actually pretty big in high school size c. 2000) But it aint slow.

When i got to college there was a kid from charlestown s.c. jovan mitchell 6ft 235lbs 4.43 hand time...that big mofo used to move.

Dude this tread is not all about you, no one called BS because the time is somewhat believable.  Why would I call BS on your time when I can call BS on Dexter's 4.1?
