        you think you don't know.

Yeah, it's not an exercise I've done very often and generally focused on form as opposed to the big numbers (relatively speaking ;)) I go for on other lifts.

::)

Anyone who can press 200 in standing military is very STRONG. Especially if he pick up the bar from the floor.
no need to get all butt hurt

225 max on the military isn't "strong" for someone on juice.

look at goudy he does 225 natural. you would have to expect alot more for someone with 10x more test in their body..

That's OK but show me how many non-natural competitor can do reps with 225 in standing military...

Im thinking about the same thing, havent done it in a while now, just worried because I might get a job soon and if they are like " a drug test would be ok?"

I would be fucked  ;D
really? wow, i think they only test here for jobs in the military, i have some friends who live inside an abandoned school for a while till they can get a house, they have a couple of huge weed plants inside one of the rooms there so each time they smoke their own stuff after they dried it. pretty cool.

I'd like to know how many have the power to clean 225lbs to be in the position to military press it?

Hmm... I can do about 185 for 6-8 reps..but I always do these by picking up the bar from the floor, and cleaning the bar up to my chest.

My strength = Fail. :(

PCing that should be a cinch, even for guys who weigh sub-200.  A lot of that movement is about coordination and technique, not just raw power, though raw power is definitely needed.  when I weighed in the 280s I pretty routinely did triples with 315 and up.

Not many..........225 juiced or not is a very respecable weight.

But I doubt most can press 135 cause like deads..... they're a real mans lift that most aviod, cause they rather lay on their back and bounce the bar off their chest ::)

275 i woudl consider strong.

For me personally it depends on the size of the guy what I would consider strong.  I know guys who weigh under 180 who can squat over 700 and bench over 400.  Some people thought I was pretty strong and I guess I was compared to most people but I know people who are stronger than me.  (not counting any competitive lifters then there would be many)  But I am talking just your run of the mill lifter in the gym.  I have done singles with 405 on the seated military.  I have tried 2 and barely got it with a finger help and on the 3rd rep had to have the guy almost high pull it.  But 315 I could do easily 8 reps and probably 12.  And when I do my reps (as anyone who has seen me lift will confirm 100%) I go all the down and most times rest it on my shoulders and then go all the way up.  I do not count half reps or 1/4 reps.  In fact I think that is embarrassing when I see people do those.  Same with my bench.  I rest it on my chest for at least a couple seconds and if I am feeling strong even longer.  I stretch at the bottom.  The other day I was actually benching 315 while I had my cell phone on my chest on speakerphone talking to my daughter.  Considering how big I was and still am I am very limber and flexible.  I am far from how strong I was but I am coming back slowly and at least forward.  My weight loss has been alot slower than I wanted but it is still going forward.  i am far from posing for you guys but I am getting closer strngth wise to video tape me doing some bench and military.  Once I can do the 405 easy again I will video it.  Same with doing the reps with 315.  As long as you guys don't rag on me to much for my tummy.

By the way these lifts were also done 10 years after I competed and was off the juice.  In fact I was doing 315 military just 3 years ago.
No Worries 4 me

Weighs under 180 and squats over 700?

Who are these "guys"?

Hidalberto Aranda squatting 644 lbs for a double @170 is probably the most impressive squat feat ever.

But you got friends his weight who squats 700+? ::)

Everybody I've ever watched do these uses at least some bounce/legs.  I think it's better to do them seated, which also protects your lower back.

I am in a quandry in my gym atm

The gym has 80-85lb db's then they jump up to these huge thick handled 105-110 dbs. Cleaning them is a nightmare.

Nothing inbetween. I am thinking If i start off on DB's doing multiple sets of 3-5 to build up my strength on them so I can work up to sets of 8ish and do my standinng shoulder pressing later in the workout as I seem to be neglecting DB work and only focusing on BB work.

Thoughts?

I haven't done seated in a while...... Ive been doing them standing with strict form lately, cause unless i have a spotter it's such a pain in the nads to un rack the bar or do heavy dumbbells.
