If the health care bill passes then.. what should we all do? Boycott, join a group that doesnt pay, and taunt them into arresting like the measure may call for?

my last experience in the ER i observed a women walk with her 11 year old son up to the counter to note to the nurse handing out paper work, "hes got a bit of a cough and a sour throat".. Mind you in this is the ER!!! Not a vitamin store, pharmacy, or dr office, a PACKED ER with nearly every seat taken my a non-paying medical/medicaid person...

Am I wrong, (going in with my premium plan thats backed by thousands of employees also Paying IN) that I ought to go ahead of the 11 year old with a runny nose in the damn ER?!
I see that everyday! People use the ER like a primary doctor's office. I've seen bitches come in simply to take a pregnancy test. That's it! They are told by the triage nurses that they are in an ER.. they should go to Walgreen's to get a pregnancy test, they are not in immediate distress and they will not be seen for a long time. Their answer is always the same... "dass aight I culd wait."

Supposedly being pregnant or needing to know you are pregnant is considered a medical neccessity and an ER has to service the patient as they have a right to know and we have the tools to find out for them.

The ER I work in has 40 beds. 40. During peak times... 38 out of the 40 do NOT need to be there.

I'm the idiot who pays $30 a week so they can do that, though.

My wife's an RN that works the ER often in north Florida and it's a very common occurence there too. There's alot of porch monkeys around here too ::)
I believe it. I also always notice when coloreds are in the ER they have to have half their family tree in there with them. When they leave it looks like Hurricane LaToya went through there. Skittles all over the floor, empty bags of Flaming Hot Cheetos, spilled Orange Crush, McDonald's fries on the floor... just a complete mess.

I can't even count how many times the black nurses or black doctor's get into arguments with patients because the patient says something along the lines of them having a profession or them not playing the 'special treatment cuz I a sista or brutha' game with them. I've hear this one female doctor who is black go off on so many black patients yelling... "That is NO EXCUSE! I was raised without a father and on welfare but I chose education and a life of productivity. I will NOT be your attending doctor anymore. I will send in another doctor. " and they storm out.

Coloreds get angry at other coloreds for getting an education and 'acting white'. The same doctor I am thinking of. She is black. I've HEARD her tell black patients... "what does FIN, mean? I'm sorry but please speak to me like an adult. I am not your 'homey' outside."

I often have to translate ebonics and street slang just like I do on Getbig.

Doctor: How long have you been feeling chest pain, maam?

Patient: I be feelin' it fo' a MINUTE.

Doctor: Just one minute? It started a minute ago when you came in?

 Patient: Naaaa... fo a MINUTE!

Doctor: I'm sorry... you were triaged in 30 minutes ago. You told the triage nurse your chest pain has been present since last night. Did it go away and come back a minute ago?

Patient: Naaaa... isss been like dis fo a MINUTE.

Blockhead: Uh, Doc. She means it's been hurting her for quite some time. " a minute" means "a while".

what worries me more is that these nutbags don't have the conscience or ethics/values to understand that they don't deserve the luxuries they enjoy... even I sometimes feel like I don't deserve the things I get... i'll admit it - i'm fuckin' lazy as hell, but at least I'm working towards earning my livelihood

Research has been done to examine the benefits of a healthier population in regards to a nations spending on healthcare. What they found was surprising, if the community is healthier, a nation's spending goes up! The simplified reason is that the unhealthy die quicker.

It's not just blacks.  It's people with a poor upbringing perpetuating a cycle of ignorance and hopelessness.

True.

But beyond that is the fact that no one in the upper-middle class or above actually WANTS people in the underclass to begin striving for a better life.

We want the underclass, we NEED the underclass, and the last thing we want is for them to begin leaving their 'hoods and trailer parks and getting advanced educations and great jobs.  We want their entrepreneurship limited to street activities and not to community improvement.

Why?  Because if they become competitive, then over time, that will make things more difficult for our descendants and our ability to build wealth will be diminished.

The wealthy figured out a long time ago that it was much cheaper to pay people to stay poor than to encourage them to pursue a better life.

Truth.

Don't agree there. Only leftist liberals want the underclass. They never encourage the underclass to work hard or better themselves. Instead, they preach welfare and entitlement, which only further discourages the underclass from setting goals and taking action. The whole concept of America..originally..not what it is now..is that in this country you actually have the opportunity to better yourself..Which was proved by the turn of the century immigrants, who worked hard and made a life for themselves. Compare the  Italian, German and Irish immigrants with the lowlife, parasitic third world illegals that proliferate here today.

I hear what you are saying, but I think Tre's point is valid.  The wealthy love having immigrants work for dirt cheap and that's why neither political party will do anything about the immigration problem.  Lib dems want their votes and wealthy repubs want their cheap ass labor.   If they can't get the immigrants, they will take the trailer trash.....sad reality.

Damn dude, you must of been in the emergency room when I went last spring!
man, lady, and two little things that spent two hours screaming, yelling, eating, and jumping on things like they just broke outta the zoo.
I had a absolute splitting headache so it was not alot of fun.

my dad brought me and he told them "You need to calm them down before my son snaps".they looked at us like we were from another planet.

It's like that in EVERY ER across the country and that is a huge part of the problem.

And if you had "snapped" you might have been able to take out one of the kids before the adults took you out.   ;D

Add to that list the:

....half-eaten watermelons, chewed up chicken wings from the chinese fast food place and the foodstamp cover flap (Assuming they've taken all the actual food stamps out and decided that the flap is best left on the floor)..

P.S. Oh and how many times do we not stumble upon this nifty little identification badge to only have to dread taking it to the lost and found....like scooping a shovel's worth of our tax money into the fireplace.

dude, you're a guy hater too.  so is Parker and dr. cock.  I don't think one of us here would call you, as in you, Trenuggs the person, a nig nog.  You don't come off as one (even though you love yourself some white women).

At some point in your life, whenever that might've been and for whatever reason, you didn't want to be a homey.  I bet you money that you'd get your fucking shit turned inside out in da hood.

It's so sad.

No joke.  When I was in college, I had a buddy who played club football, so their games were on Sundays.  We went to watch him play and were sitting on the visitors side......and there was TONS of chicken bones everywhere.....we laughed about it and checked to see who the school played (it was an away game) on Saturday.......it was a "traditional black college."  We laughed our asses off! hahaha

I also notice that when there is a black patient he/she will have their cell phone's charging in the hospital's outlets and so will the 3-6 family members cramed into the room. Every outlet. A cell phone charging.

We'll bring a black patient (usually in the 18-40 age group) a tray in. Hospital food. Salisbury steak. Mashed potatoes. Broccoli. Milk. Graham crackers. They open it and go... "I aint want dis... ya'll got any chicken or cornbread up in hurr? "

I'll say something like. "Ummm... no, but we do have sushi if you want some sushi."

They grimmace and go... " Naaa... I aint never had dat it don' sound gooooood. Ya'll got fish? "

I say... "What kind of fish? Orange Roughy? Grilled Salmon? I think we do... I have to check. What kind would you like? "

 I get... "Ya'll got catfish?"
