1. Arnold
2. Ronnie
3. Dorrian

Now you have to take into consideration the difference in years and drug science for the years at which they won the title.

I never understood that Arnold hype. Back in the days he was one of the best, but conditioning & proportion wise he doesn't deserve a all time top 3 placing. Only reasons for his popularly I can find is the way he represented BB & his charisma.

Plates I have to disagree, the dude was in the 70's huge ass arms and chest. I know if he was in the Mr O today in his shape then he wouldnt win but you got to consider the drug advances and such.

Arnold was farther ahead of his competition during his time than even Ronnie and Haney during theirs. That is the proper way to judge them. Few even remember who finished second to Arnold he was so far ahead of the pack.

He sure had some serious guns, but his bicep/tricep development was way out of proportions. The same for his arms/legs, and waist/torso. The striations in his chest were only visable during a most muscular.

I agree that more efficient PED's are in advance for todays pro's, but -for example- Zane (no, not a typical favorite of mine) had a much better conditioning.

In case it's a all time comparison you need to compare Ronnie with Arnold, not Ronnie with Phil Heath or Arnold with Mike Mentzer

Yes from your last post it seems we cant compare? I think we can but take into consideration the times of each Mr O and competion factors. So in the Arnold years he didnt have the competion of today but didnt have the drugs of today either so if we give him the drugs of today and face the competion would he win?

If we talk about greatest, i understand that you guys include him in top 3.

If Arnold were competing today he would still be a multiple time Mr. Olympia. He would use the same drugs, advances in nutrition and equipment that are available to the guys competing today and he would crush them the same way he did the guys back in the 70s.

All things being equal Arnold would simply "will" his way to victory. What Arnold has inside that drives him can't be defeated. He simply won't allow himself to lose. It's why he's accomplished things nobody ever dreamed he could.

I see your topic more as a virtual pose down. I agree that this could be a unfair comparison because of more effective PED's, supplements, foods, gyms, knowledge and other factors these days. But hey, you were the topic starter
