Look, Palin is goofy, there is no doubt about it, however, her appeal is not that she is some "brilliant transformational genius".

Her appeal is that she embodies the hard working grit and common sense of the small business person, the average hard working citizen who wants to be left the fuck alone by frauds like Obama, Bush, and Clinton, etc. 

I know what she is, but on balance, her faults are grossly outweighed by her positives. 

The same can not be said of Barry on any level whatsoever.

For starters, she actually has run a small business and has had to meet a payroll.  Barry has never worked a day in his life prior to this job.  And it shows when he speaks off the cuff on economic issues.  He is utterly clueless. 

Second, she has actually had to work her way through life and has had to pay her own way with no help others.  Someone who does that learns a lot of basics along the way that Barry obviously lacks.  Barry has been the beneficiary of white guilt, affirmative action, grade inflation, excuse making, and faux achievements his entire life.
