Hey PJim, It's true that most people overtrain, but do you really think that they would come back bigger and stronger after 1 whole month off? In my own personal experience, I start to lose size and strength after roughly 3 weeks of no training, and I can only maintain my size and strength after 2 weeks of no training. And also, if I go 2 weeks without training my strength NEVER increases or improves, it just stays static. No losses, but no improvements either.

 Openings the Chakras is a very really thing.

 I'm not sure if I believe there are acutally points of energy. But you can definitely feel the different parts of your body "opening up". But i'm sure there is a physiological explanation for it.

 The spiritual benefits I talk about are a quiet of the mind, feeling and satisfaction and contentment, a shift towards introspection etc.

 If you don;t know what spirit or spirituality is, that's your problem. It's been very well defined. But of course the answer is not simple.

He got himself down to 160 on a strict liquid diet (something I'm sure you're not gonna do) which at that point looked like he was near death. You probably aren't even 160 and you have nearly zero muscle so don't expect some BIG change. What's with all this buddhist bullshit from you and a couple of these team nasser fags? What the fuck are you doing on this site? How is it such a big challenge for you to walk away from lifting weights when you were never serious about it in the first place?

I saw 50 Cent's transformation into a skinny mother fucker and it inspired me.

 It doesn't take any balls to lift weights hard. Fueling the ego, the insecurity, the narcissism. Indulging like a pig.

 What really takes HUGE balls is walking away from it all and saying "fuck it, i'll just let it be." quiting this compulsive weight lifting thing like a junkie quiting the heroin.

 Tonight I had an awesome Kundalini Yoga class. By the end of it I was dripping sweat and felt absolutely amazing. Great full body workout.

 Instead of eating like a pig and lifting weights. For one month, i'm gonna do the yoga 5 or 6 times a week, ride a bicycle a lot, and just eat healthy.

 I want to see how my body changes, how my mind changes, how I feel.

 We shall see where it gos my brothers. Let the experiment begin......

In essence it depends on the recovery ability of the individual, drugs and diet are other factors. I personally find that training once a week, interspersed with a random week off works like magic for me and I constantly make improvements on muscular bulk and poundage in the gym. Take for example the fact that I am not training until next thursday, which at that point would mean that I will have had a 3 week layoff from any exercise and as crazy as it sounds, 6 week gap for legs. I do pre-exhaustion for hammies and quads, I did my leg curls straight into hack squats with 7 plates a side last time with negatives being the focus but complete reps were close to a dozen.  I shall report back to you on my inevitable improvement. As for your individual, exercise tolerance and recovery, that is something that you can only gauge by monitoring improvement whilst varying frequency of training, volume and intensity.

 In the adult world I live in nobody really gives a shit about my muscles. They just care about how I do my job and take care of my business.

 It's all about how your face looks out here and how fashionable you look, how intelligent and charismatic you are. Muscles get you nowhere.

 I've got an American buddy out here and he is fucking huge. He did like 5 cycles before and he is straight up bulky and beastly weight lifting machine. And the women out here think he's ugly and stupid looking. He doesn't get pussy too much.

 Big muscles being attractive is the thing in Western countries, but in lots of other places it's not really the thing.

good strategy, the hunks on this forum must be melting down hard hearing you are losing muscle and still getting chicks left and right, not obsessing over your lifting or anything.

 The main thing about it I don't like is the dietary needs. It's a pain in the ass and a huge hassle to always have to eat the huge amounts of protein and calories, it's an every day burden.

 The weight lifting is fun for me. But the diet is annoying.

 Some guys like having something like that to focus on. But when you have other things you want to focus on, it goes from being a discipline to being a burden.

Sometimes bodybuilding and working out get put off to the side for a bit.  Bodyfat stays down, I might lose a little size, but my muscle has been there for so many fukin years now it has a hard time leaving. I will always have it.

Hey Ship, The diet factor is way overrated, and don't get me started on this protein bullshit! TRAINING IS THE BE ALL END ALL, and diet is only secondary and plays a rather minor role at that. If you are training hard enough then you have a license to eat whatever the fuck you want.
