he was handed a heavyweight title fight against tim sylvia after being "retired" and handed a interim title fight with chuck
you have the nerve to say Fedor fought cans and then say that randy fought the best heavyweights? who? pedro rizzo? maruice smith? ricco rodriquez LOSS who are the great heavyweights he fought? are you including tim sylvia in that argument and than excluding him for Fedor? does an old Nog count for randy (brutal loss) but not Fedor?
he did not fight the best lhw's unless you consider chuck, vitor, and tito to be the best

Earl, you are missing the point here. Fedor's record and quality of opponents can be debated as can Fedor's or any other fighter. I will say it again, it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to say who had the 'best' career because there are so many factors involved. It's totally subjective.
I say Randy has had one of the best careers because of his longevity, ability to evolve as a complete fighter, and the fact that at nearly 50 yrs of age, he's still a competitive fighter. He has established a respected gym to train at as well. Randy has done a ton for the sport and is a huge reason why the sport has taken off like it has.
Not to mention he has been in a couple of decent sized Hollywood films.
When you look at all he has accomplished, you'd have to be a fool to say that it's not remarkable....and to top it off, he is still fighting some of the best in the world at 50!!!! Do you realize most don't make it into their late 30's at this level?
