what's the easiest way to condition oneself to get up "early"?
I get up at 5 am for work, and i'd like to get up at 4 and go running.  i'm in bed by 9 pm.

you just have to be a man when the alarm rings.

most of the time I want to stay in the bed when the alarm rings at 5h30, but I tell myself "get up fucking pussy"

It's not very far from the truth, I'm not talking about going to bars, but geez do something more productive then
living at the gym, find a hobby, date, meet some new people, see the world, etc.

do you know how sad it sounds that a person goes to the gym TWICE in a 12 hour day ??!, it's pathetic actually
given that most people work 8 hours and spend an hour in between getting ready/to/from work etc.

I see your point but it's only for the contest, after that it's 1 time a day

it was an example about the bars. Sadly the dating scene where I am stinks and I ain't settleling for stupidness. When I worked full time. Id be at the gym at 5am, get home 630, shower, get little one ready then off to work for 830. Get off work, go to gym for about an hour and be home by 6. My old job was very stressful so it helped diminish that.

You do realize when you have kids it's hard to go and see the world. Yes, that's a choice some make
you chose to have a kid and raise him alone cause you both got abandonned by your husband?

'No one' does.  Dude trains 7 days a week 2 times a day.  I'm at 7 days a week now.  No way I could do 2 a days.

Try to workout even more,

maybe 4-5 times per day. Short, very intense sessions with maximum muscular contraction.

Read all about GLUT4 . It is a glucose transport protein that can be recruited through working out. It decides if nutrients are transported to the muscle cell or stored as adipose tissue. Basically, multiple short and intense workouts throughout the day allow you to eat a lot with very little possiblity of fat storage.

Short (20 minutes), high intensity sessions have a huge impact on nutrient partitioning. That's why the big powerlifters who workout with no intensity for 3 hours and graze all day...end up fat  ;D

EAT UP!

Awesome post Boost.

Thank you!

or... people who do cardio in the morning and weights in the afternoon.  Not only do I look decent, i'm in damn good shape, too.

I've never understood why people do this.

The optimal routine is to perform cardio on days you DONT lift.

You would perform better on your weight training if you cardio on seperate days.
You want to use your body's richest energy source for fuel when you lift, not burn it up on silly cardio.

Quote that shit for truth! With you on all that and hey maybe you got a passion to train. Nothing pathetic about doing something you enjoy. And when you have kids they are your life and going to the gym is a mayor outlet.Actually have to have kids to understand that.

Agreed on multiple sessions but def NOT very intense. GLUTE4 doesn't require high intensity to activate. In fact you can simply do wall pushups, air squats or band pull aparts.

No, I've never ate 10k calories in my life. I train 3 times per week (at the moment) twice a day.
Warm up, agility plyos in the morning, weights and intervals in the mid-afternoon or evenings. Two days I just take a 4-5 mile walk on the beach (board walk not sand).

good point... never go there more than once a day, will do one session at home at a minimum.. actually go public with the minions max 3 times a week... the rest is done under my controlled home gym environment.. rudimentary but worth it.

Only because Stavios has a competition comming up he can train that way...as a tool to burn more cals...after the comp return to his normal workout splits.
