who trains 2 times per day ?
« on: March 30, 2011, 01:59:08 PM »
i started doing that this week instead of doing cardio or lowering the food, but daaaaaaaaamn it it seems like it's turning my body into a burning machine.

I have never been as hungry as this, ever. And I don't have a big appetite usually.

we'll see how it goes in the next few weeks  :o

what's the easiest way to condition oneself to get up "early"?
I get up at 5 am for work, and i'd like to get up at 4 and go running.  i'm in bed by 9 pm.

Come on, that is furthest from the truth. I choose to get up at 5am, doesn't have anything to do with social skills or anything. So I guess it would be better to go to bars and shit till 11pm every night. NO thanks

It's not very far from the truth, I'm not talking about going to bars, but geez do something more productive then
living at the gym, find a hobby, date, meet some new people, see the world, etc.

do you know how sad it sounds that a person goes to the gym TWICE in a 12 hour day ??!, it's pathetic actually
given that most people work 8 hours and spend an hour in between getting ready/to/from work etc.

it was an example about the bars. Sadly the dating scene where I am stinks and I ain't settleling for stupidness. When I worked full time. Id be at the gym at 5am, get home 630, shower, get little one ready then off to work for 830. Get off work, go to gym for about an hour and be home by 6. My old job was very stressful so it helped diminish that.

You do realize when you have kids it's hard to go and see the world. Yes, that's a choice some make

I've been getting up between 430 and 5 for over 3 years to work out. Now I don't set an alarm,  I automatically get up then

Try to workout even more,

maybe 4-5 times per day. Short, very intense sessions with maximum muscular contraction.

Read all about GLUT4 . It is a glucose transport protein that can be recruited through working out. It decides if nutrients are transported to the muscle cell or stored as adipose tissue. Basically, multiple short and intense workouts throughout the day allow you to eat a lot with very little possiblity of fat storage.

Short (20 minutes), high intensity sessions have a huge impact on nutrient partitioning. That's why the big powerlifters who workout with no intensity for 3 hours and graze all day...end up fat  ;D

EAT UP!

same here, stressful job, little kids.  running and weightlifting's a great stress reliever, and not like we can tuck the kids in and go rip bong hits and booze it up all night long.

thank you, at least someone understands what I mean. Plus, when you get the second workout in, helps to burn off what you ate that day, either junk or healthy. I find it a great way to start and end the day

It sounds like you need to try kickboxing, way better cardio and not just building useless muscle that does nothing, you actually reap some rewards from it.

Funny you mention kick boxing. Done it a few times. Been doing spinning class, even did a zumba class. But right now I'm running big runs every month, but have Incorporated classes. Maybe that's why my average mile was 10mph and now dropped to 8.5..who knows. Shit I'm lucky I'm finally using light weights/high reps and a crap more of core training
