Arnold didn't have a guru..
Haney didn't have a guru..
Are today's pros just too stupid to figure out their own training and dietary regimens?

It's ironic you mentioned Haney , most guys just can't seem to tie it all together on contest day , Haney was one of them. He said he always looked better the day after a contest of before. Haney said himself his last contest ( 1991 Mr Olympia ) was the only contest he peaked the actual day of the contest ( and retired on-top at his career best )
Samir Bannout was another guy who always had problems and he tied it all together in 1983 for the big win but it was a constant struggle before and after. Haney mentioned when Yates started to dominate that he knew his body and what worked for him and I guess that's part of it , learning what works for you for trial and error
Flex Wheeler was lamenting to Dorian one year how he wanted to look like the previous year and he couldn't duplicate it , Dorian asked what was he doing different from the previous year and Flex said some to the effect " i don't know , I can't remember " Dorian couldn't believe it , Dorian was just the opposite he was methodical in the way he prepared his food , weighed it to the gram , was a fastidious record keeper when it came to his work-outs , the entire year was devoted to contest day and he DID NOT deviate from it which separates a champion from a runner-up , Shawn Ray was like this
I think more guys should experiment with what works for them instead of relying on someone who can literally cost you everything , including your health.
