Such an incredible feat. To anyone who actively engages in deadlift training, or has, to imagine yanking so much weight off the floor is nutty.
Oftentimes pulling from a rack at a mid-ish height is more difficult than pulling from the floor, relatively speaking. If the lifter has a strong initial pull, doing so from a rack puts the athlete in what could be described as his "sticking" point to
begin the movement.
From a certain height I can pull less from a rack than I can from the floor.
