Nope..but u know what will be great...pulling the Obama picture we have to have  on the wall down and fucking burning it when this asshole looses his job. Nobody talks about whats happening in Egypt do they? Oh and McCains full comment was that had US air power been used like they should have this would have ended much much sooner. Barry turned this over to NATO in June.

So we spent billions to help jihadists, terrorists and other mass murderers of Americans kill a man who had spent the last decade ingratiating himself with us in order for Europe to secure his country’s oil wealth, all the while losing track of tens of thousands of SAMs and other advanced weaponry in the process. Meanwhile, oil is back over $106/barrel even after having priced in the Libyan refineries coming back online.

As if the farce wasn’t already comical enough, Syria’s Assad has killed 100-fold more people than Gaddafi did yet the UN can’t even so much as agree on a sternly worded letter of condemnation.

Hooray! That’s definitely the mark of “success”! “Anti-war” leftists celebrating bloodshed because their God-King was the one who launched us into this war. Morons.

link to source?  Kadaffi sent hit squads all over the world to kill journalists who wrote bad thigns about him - with a $1mil bounty.

We don't know how many people he killed in his own country - 10% of the country was spies and they were in the bottom 10% in the world in terms of fredom of press.  So nobody reported what went on in there.

Link to 10x the number of killing proof?

besides... that dude in syris is probably worrying he's next....

I haven't seen a single video of Gaddafi forces "massacring" civilians as was claimed by the MSM. I have seen a dozen+ videos of Syrian troops mowing down unarmed protesters in the streets. I've also seen articles about mass graves with Gaddafi's soldiers in them.

And if we're going to talk about worldwide terrorism, you do know that Syria, along with Iran, is the chief financier of Hezbollah, who up until 9/11 had killed more Americans than any other terrorist group on the planet. But don't let facts stand in your way or anything.

We loaned our army out so Europe could steal Gaddafi's oil in an unconstitutional war. The same Europeans who love thumbing their noses at us and undermining us every change they get. You go ahead and cheer that.

So you're a warmonger who criticizes Bush for launching us into the Iraq war while simultaneously advocating for war against Syria.

I relinquish the floor to the gentleman from...where ever. I'm glad BF showed up so I can go do something else. I'm glad I can't post at work...never get anything done.

The guy in Syria has a massive military and his boys are machine gunning everybody. Until a major unit defects..to whom I have no idea, Assad isn't going anywhere. 240 pulled me right back in.

Reuters reported mass graves..and hen gave numbers of 8-10 bodies in a ditch. I expect the bots will post that story. That to me isn't an example of mass graves..and some where outside hospitals or adjacent to battlefields. There's plenty of video of syrian forces wasting lots of people.

i criticize bush for lying about WMD.

I would rather he have said "iraq dropped the buck this year.  ol' cheney cut up those oil fields with exxon and BP back in summer 2001, and a war is good for the economy.  Who's in?"

I would have voted for that war, sure.

But the whole bullshit wmd thing?  insulted the intelligence.  I know, it sat well in the moral cockles of the "repubs" who voted clinton, voted 2000 with their bible after they all found God when clinton got a BJ... because "it's cool in the bible to take an eye... because the other guys might SOMEDAY try to take my eye..."

I get why they lied.  I just feel insulted they did.

Flashback: Gaddafi Praises Obama As a “Friend”

(April 17th, 2010) — Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi considers the US president a blessing to the Muslim world. In a speech published in London-based al-Hayat newspaper on Saturday, Gaddafi praised Barack Obama, called him a “friend” and said there is no longer any dispute between his country and the US.

Speaking in the Libyan city of Sirt at an event marking the 24th anniversary of an American attack on Libya, he said, “At the time, we were the target of the American cannon, the American navy challenged us in the gulf of Sirt and attacked us all along Libya’s shores. America tested Libya, and the Libyan people resisted the large country, but today, thank God, the difference is great.”

He said, “Now, ruling America is a black man from our continent, an African from Arab descent, from Muslim descent, and this is something we never imagined – that from Reagan we would get to Barakeh Obama.”

Gaddafi stressed that Obama’s presidency is “a major historical gain” and said, “He is someone I consider a friend. He knows he is a son of Africa. Regardless of his African belonging, he is of Arab Sudanese descent, or of Muslim descent. He is a man whose policy should be supported, and he should be assisted in implementing it in any way possible, since he is now leaning towards peace.”

He continued, “I urge all peoples to give him this chance and to support this policy, because America is a country that, when its policy is bad – harms the world, and when it is good – it helps the world.”

The Libyan leader also expressed hopes that, “the dream that Obama has for a world free of nuclear weapons will come true. This is something that no previous American president has proposed. Obama is a man who opposes wars that previous American presidents were entangled in; he has declared that he will withdraw from Afghanistan and Iraq – something which has never been proposed before.”

Gaddafi learned the hard way. There isn't anyone Obama won't throw under the bus (see: England).

The US has no business getting involved.

billion spent on an illegal war in libya.

And I stand by my original position - stated before Rush and Hannity gave yall an opinion to parrot - I'm 100% against US involvement in libya.  Obama should have let kadaffi kill 10,000 people, and it'd be over now.

I think we all knew that when Tripoli fell that this was inevitable.  Nice to see another dictator fall.  Unsure about the resulting  stability and still think over all it's was a bad idea to get involved.

But a couple of thoughts:

-  After 3 years of having a dem in office the old stereotype of a democrat being too much of an wuss in regards to military matters seems a bit defunk now lol

-  why did ghadfi stay there?  Was it because no other country would give him asylum?

very good points.......Obama is the most militarist Democrat I've seen in my lifetime.....he is very harsh with dealing with our enemies.....the republicans definitely can't use the commander-in-chief issue against him

as for Ghadafi....I agree with you.I thought he was idiotic to continue fighting ....he should have left along time ago and just enjoy his stolen 100 billion on a nice beach somewhere.....but I guess all dictators are delusional in the end and they feel they are invincible (even Hitler refused to surrender and flee to south America when he had the chance)

Unfortunately, it wasn't me who was accusing others of lacking critical thought, that was you.  Therefore the burden of proof is on your shoulders.

I have read many posts in this thread providing some in depth thought on what the possible outcomes of this regime change will bring, and the impacts it could have on EU, and then the United States.

While I, of course, think that getting rid of an evil dictator is a good start, the fallout is what is most pressing.   HH6 provided examples of Egypt that shows the negative ramifications that can develop.  Do you think this is an issue?

Also, assuming the same intelligence and decisions that were made, do you believe that the prior regime would have been unable to have Khadaffi ousted and capture?
