- Extremely technical boxing, combining speed, power and precision like no other.
- Supreme takedown defenses.
- Has a reputation for being a BJJ black belt who is fantastic at getting submissions from his back. We have never seen it in the UFC because he never gets taken down.
JDS = invincible
This guy will be the heavyweight champion for as long as he wants. I wouldn't go as far as calling him the next Fedor, but he is the first truly great heavyweight in the World since Fedor's decline. The only guy who can beat him is a very skilled Muay Thai fighter who uses kicks with precision, and there is no one like this in the heavyweight division besides Overeem. I think Overeem is the only guy with a realistic chance of beating him. No wrestler or BJJ guy will succeed against this guy and surviving a boxing match against him is out of the question.
Evidence that JDS is invincible = he did to 280 lbs Shane Carwin what a grown man would do to a 14 year-old punk if for some mistake he were judged as an adult and put together in a cell with the grown men.
More evidence = undefeated heavyweight champ and college wrestling champion, Cain Velasquez, couldn't take him down no matter how much he tried and failed to hit him more than once while getting clipped several times consecutively, and then got KOd by a perfect spinning right punch from a ridiculous distance where JDS threw his head down and stretched his arm more than a mile far away. Incredible. Cain was completely brutalized and dominated. He couldn't do anything against JDS.
