I suffer from sleep paralysis very badly.
I get it 2-4x each night minimum. I never get used to it, I still fight it and struggle, sort of panic to start moving again.
I can't sleep next to anyone because once my movement actually does come back, I violently awake.
The doctor says I barely produce much GABA, it is a major inhibitory neurotransmitter, which leads to my list of mental
health issues and sleep problems :) The joy of being a psychopath

you produce much GABBA?

Wouldn't that make you relaxed and lethargic instead of a psycho?

By "barely produce much", I meant "barely produce any".

I should have chosen better words.

Yea, I have a ridiculous tolerance to them without even having much experience with them.
Apparently they only increase GABA-ergic transmission, so if your GABA levels are low, they don't have much to work with.

I've had a dream that lasted for a liftetime, then I woke up and 4 minutes had passed, so I guess... but I think it's natural, no biggie.

Be careful with them, withdrawal can be a bitch.

Thanks, but I barely use them since they are not very effective for me if used frequently.
I take 1mg of Xanax 1 or 2 times per week, tops.
I can't take them consecutive days or they just flat out won't work.

My doctor and I discussed it at length and are trying other treatment options. He is a pleasure
to work with and I was very happy when he didn't jump to the traditional SSRI bullshit approach
to absolutely every single mental health issue.
He actually agreed that GHB was most effective for people like myself, when it was legal of course.

It seems you have a sensible doctor, that alone is invaluable.
Has he told you about a med called Neurontin (generic: Gabapentin)? Might be worth a shot.

yep, tried it already. It worked for a few days, then stopped. I hear that is very common though.
Currently on Lamictal, has worked better than anything thus far. We'll see how long it lasts.
We will be adding Gabitril in one month, I am excited to try it.

what you dream is a reflection of the lessons from choices you must learn. lessons in life or lessons in dream world. you havent learned to submit to the wolf or to claim your innocensce. you just cower in fear at his presence thus your fear overrides your intellectual abilities to get out of the situation immediatley, your level of intellecutally only acheives a delayed response.

same with people getting sleep paralysis

if you carry guilt you will not break away from this soon enough, it will be a delayed response. When you plead for mercy and have made the right choices in the real world---into the dream state this will transfer and you will have everything already worked out in your mind in the dream state and only have good dreams...then the occasional guilt met with fear test in the form of night terror may occur but it wont be prolonged because you already truly lived and beleive you are living a rhiteous path, not just live right for yourself or family but all living things and animals and the earth you live on from here on out, all the activities must be done on this earth in good faith that it will work out for everyone and everything in order for your head to be "all worked out"

the answer
A

I donīt get much effect from benzos either. I have alot of sleeping trouble and have gotten a bunch prescribed to me. Itīs like the other guy said, take them for 2 days in a row or whatever and there is no effect. With a few beers they can be fun, but you have to look your door and hide your carkeys before  ;)
