After having a package sitting in customs for longer than a day or several, should the package be ditched?

If it ever comes should it be denied and the receiver should not acknowledge possession of the package?

Should one start worrying about any doorbells and search warrants that may be coming? At what point should one clean house?

Thank you

How would you know that it is sitting in customs?

shit can sit in customs for a week, and the status will show it is in customs yet end up at your door.  Just watch out for the black vans and helicopters when the doorbell rings.

more than a week, 2 weeks it's probably gone and anyone delivering things would probably be suspicious. but i've heard of people getting gear after a package has sat in customs for a month, which is extremely rare and i don't know why anyone would accept that kinda package.

holidays are exceptions as packages can sit in customs forever, some times they legitimately get lost or postal workers steal them.

I have had one seized. Got a letter about 2 weeks after it was handed over to customs. Had it reshipped, it's been at customs for a week now... Getting discouraged

Guys you need to accept that a seizure may happen anytime and it's the cost of business. Use suppliers that resend with seizure. Build a rapport so they will help you when it happens.

I've had packs in customs for over 10 days and then they arrive. Often tracking is unreliable.

I am Ok with loosing a package or having it resent.

I'm only courious of the risk involved?

How much follow up is done if they open it and find gear?

If its in custom for 2 weeks and then USPS shows up should I sign or just refuse it?

If its resent after being seized is it too risky to except more gear at same addy?

What precautions should I take for a re-ship

Sorry guy's, I know this is redundent but it's a first for me to have gear stuck in customs

Happened not so long ago - soon as i saw status via the tracking number, it was a lost cause - and treat it as such. No reason to cry over spilled milk.

I got suspicious after it didn't come in the allotted time. Even without checking tracking status, i knew what was up. And not worth the risk over a few thousands dollars lost once customs black marks it. Even if they want you to pick it up, avoid it like the Bubonic plague

If an address is flagged by Customs does that effect domestic orders coming same address from domestic sources? Lets say you ordered 3 packages, the international is stuck in customs and the othe 2 are domestic.

no cause domestic you avoid customs so no addy is checked...I wouldnt send to that same addy is you have had a pack snagged before so safety reasons, use an alternative addy

So are you saying use different addy for international but still safe for domestic at same addy?

ya, if youve had a pack snagged international, dont use that addy again cause its flagged...now you can use that same addy for domestic causde youre avoiding customs, so you dont have anything to worry about
