I have stopped squatting, great exercise but it takes away from my running too much (no homo).  If I squat hard then that's at least two days a week that I can't run hard.  I am currently only doing walking lunges, SLDL, and calf raises for legs.

I like front squats way more than conventional squats.  I just really can't do regular squats, and I've been trying for years.

how do your legs feel when you run after squatting?

i usually squat and run on the same day (mondays), then i run again on tuesday.  my legs feel pretty lethargic and heavy these days, it sucks.  back in the day tho when i would get really sore from squats, i could still run.  after a while the soreness kind of went away.  these days i just feel like im plodding the whole time.

Day-of I'm usually not awful if I run after squatting.  Run before squatting is of course an option but then squat really suffers.  Running the day after squatting (or even worse, heavy SLDL) is a no-go for me.

I did five sets of fronts, couple of sets of trap bar deads and some half assed hams and calves then went home to eat a big steak. So I approve.

We Really should have done leg press for volume, fronts don't have much time under tension
