My definition of shredded is different than yours my friend.  To the average person and to most on here even, my look at 185 lbs would be considered shredded, but to me is fat.  :-\


I like to go up a bit in weight in the winter as I am less busy and don`t bother to keep track of my calories at all.  I just set myself a weight limit to not go over.  Its REALLY tough for me to go over that set weight unless I work at it by overeating day in and day out.  When I used to Force Bulk back in the day, I would have to Force feed myself and did all of that voluntarily.  I was on a mad quest to Deadlift and it was ridiculous the amounts I would eat.

So you normally eat at least 3500 to 400 daily just to maintain.
When I`m not monitoring my calories, I don`t count them- but yeah, around that amount is a safe bet depending how much outside work I do.

well you know, in order to not slowly creep out of shape, one has to kinda watch what they eat, maybe not at all times, but kinda often.

Exactly.  I do this by setting a MAX weight limit for myself and if I get close I then monitor calories.  And when I get tired of monitoring calories, I don`t.


I could actually just eyeball everything and not count anything really and arrive at the same place as I have done this for so long now. 

I just choose to count as it takes no effort really and it is fail safe and fool proof.


I think I am going to get myself a bowl of potato chips in a second-1000 calories still left to eat today.

The Next few days will be High Protein days for sure as I am making Halal Chicken and Rice with White Sauce.  I also have Cookies and a Cake to bake but will probably do Moravian Sugar Cake as that is my go to and I love the yeasty flavor.  Here is where the recipe comes from:

I am going to enter a Hot Dog eating contest in a month or so, so I am sure I will eat more than 4000 calories then.

Things come around back in full circle, like back then, people are doing more full body training. Do you actually think he trained for specifically bodybuilding they do now or even back in the 40's or 50's? Hell no. Much like crossfit, they had very little idea on what to do, however, they did know that whatever they were doing (mostly strongman stuff, gymnastics, etc) worked. Also, I think I read somewhere Sandow was not that big of a man. Again Adam..genetics

In all seriousness my friend, why did you let the 100 plus pound weight gain continue?  At any point you could have stopped the fat gain in its tracks and taken care of it.  Did you not realize you were gaining so much weight or did you just not care really?  You still have a great physique under there I am sure and at any time you want bring it out, you could if you wanted to.  It would take a while, but it is doable.

Its also cool if you don`t really give a fuck to do so. I respect that as well because all of us know what you are capable of if you wanted to do it. (you have already "been there" and "done that")
