I don't see what's so special about this, it looks like all the rest of them. Am I wrong?

I'm sure there is a new feature, like being able to beat up a prostitute with a bat.

Rockstar Games had to pay Wiggs a multi million dollar contract to allow his identity to be portrayed in GTA 5.

I'm sure the game is pretty fun.

Don't forget about the classics, though, available for pennies on the dollar at  http://www.gog.com/

That is true. I argued with my brother about doing it. Me having it is one thing, but kids don't need that game.

young kids don't need to be playing those games. It's not age appropriate...so where is the logic in buying it for a kid who knows very little of the "adult world"?

Read this article this morning.  It's plain bad parenting to allow a child to play a game of this kind.   I have no problem with adults purchasing and playing the game but allowing a kid is irresponsible.

And then parents wonder why their kids are calling them "bitches", and so on.
Basically I suspect that there is a big of just give the kids what they want so that they shut up. As long as the kids are playing video games, the parents/parent can do what they want. No actual parenting is required when a kid has a controller in hand and a fridge nearby.

Yes.  You have the parents who give the kid whatever they want because the kid is a whiny spoiled brat, the parents so detached they have no idea about the content of the game and parents who know the game has adult content but don't care and buy it for them anyway.

I knew a parent who son was scared to go to school, some apparent bully since like 1st grade. But, whenever a new game came out, he would call his mother and ask for her to buy it. And knew everything about the game. Kid can't go to school to face a so called "bully" but he could sure stay home and play video games...was very baby like too...

the EARLY GTA games are acceptable in some areas - I have a nephew who will drive around for hours in Vice City, run on the beach, just having a blast.  Doesn't break the law because the stars lead to cops.  Just explores and loves the reality of it (with volume down).

NEVER would I let any of them play GTA 5.  Too many scenes of sex, murder, etc.  It's an NC-17 movie... it is realistic.  When trevor crushes the dude's skull in the street after doggystyling his chick... it looks like a dead guy on the ground.  TOO real for kids.

If I had children they'd be very limited in the games they play. Too much violence and sex and too much occultism.

Kid gave up on reality a long time ago.  He found solace in video games and I imagine copious amounts of snack food.  I never owned a video game system until I was an adult and even now I rarely play.  We didn't have a tv in our house until I was ten.
