I went to my neice's 3 yr old birthday party 2 weekends ago.  It was crazy....hamburgers AND hotdogs!  Of course I brought my own tupperware containers of grilled chicken, brown rice, steamed broccoli and ezekial bread, but it was a wild 3 hour ride!  They also had two kinds of ketchup...one regular, one spicy....blew my frickin mind!

I was a hard drinker in my youth.  After awhile the drunk didn't justify the hangovers (which got longer as the years went on).  I'll still get a bit pissy but haven't been rip-roaring in years.

Not to wax Wiggsian mystical but when you feel like complete ass the universe is trying to communicate something to you.

youd be surprised how POSITIVELY the body reacts when you remove the alcohol.

I used to enjoy a few glasses of wine, a few times a week.  Maybe 2-3 times a month when I'd dirnk 4 and get hammered.

I haven't drank in maybe 1-2 months and I feel outstanding.  I dont think I'll ever do it again.  I'd sip a wine for the taste and the smile maybe, but anything past half a glass... I just don't miss the funk, the dehydration, the blah feeling.  i'm strong & hydrated and really happy.

that being said.... after an all night bender, benching 80% today is VERY good still lol.  I'd skip the gym for 2-3 days after that kinda party haha.

I hate beer.  Liquor just makes me sleepy.  But by golly, I totally LOVE me some merlot.  Just love it.  The taste, the feeling, the chill time... love that feeling.  Makes for a nice reward at the end of every day, pouring a red solo cup of merlot and hanging out.

But for me... it just slows me down and makes me feel toxic.  I'm chugging V8 all day, drinking 3 shakes a day, eating 4+ meals and doing everything right... when I drink lol... it's 2 wines and my belly is full.  I'll snack on some junk but really just lose 2-3 hours every time "chilling".  Ain't nobody got time for that.

Qft.  The snowball effect.  Sometimes I use it for good, sometimes for evil, but there's always that momentum.

I think the red solo cup may have thrown me off.

Best way to beat it is train. Hard to get it together and do, but that is how you overcome it quick

This.

If you let it fester it will linger for days .never let anything get in the way of your training. I hear all of these HOMOSEXUALS in this thread suggesting to "take a few days off from the gym" and it sickens me.  this is WHY you look ordinary.

If I ger drunk I have a terrible hangover and anxiety and will not do anything the next day. I cannot understand how some manage to even train after such debauchery.

Pro tip, if I take ephedrine and caffiene during the day and night and drink heavily in the night, I don't get a hangover, same with most people I know who do the same.
